I am 44 yeras old. I have had Lasik on my eyes and never really felt good wearing sunglasses primarily because they tire my eyes out after just a while. The Banyans with the HT lens are the only lenses I have been able to wear all day. You forget you have them on, and they do not tire my eyes at all. They are excellent.

I am very particular about my sunglasses. I like a pair that actually fits my face and doesn't strain my eyesight with distortion. I wear a 7 5/8 fitted hat, yeah I got a big melon. The banyans fit perfect, yet feel snug and sturdy at the same time.

Also excellent polarization is a priority. I fish for trout and bass in rivers and streams and need to be able to see clear to the bottom and be able to pick out submerged rocks and fish. With these I can see right through the surface glare of the water and through riffles and pools. I love the bronze lenses.The bronze lens makes reds and greens really pop, and I can see the pink stripe on a rainbow or the green back of a bass perfectly. Very comfortable and lightweight, also surprisingly sturdy. They are also great for driving.

Unlike other reviews I've read the nose piece and screws do not obstruct my view or distract my eyes. I think these are specifically designed for people with a large face, otherwise they should be wearing one of the other smaller frames which were to tight for someone with such a large noggin such as myself.

The glasses are excellent for golfing and driving. I have lost one of the nose pads and do not know how to get replacements. Please someone respond.

I was exicited when I found out MJ had expanded their line of RX glasses. I promptly ordered my 10th or 11th pair, the Banyans. I've been very disappointed with the quality and durability of these glasses. Just a little after 2 mos they broke at the temple for no apparent reason. didn't drop them ,sit or step on them. They go from the case to my face and back. Cost me 10 bucks to send them back. MJ repaired them but they have gotten loose at the mounting points around the temple since I got them back. Never had a problem with previous MJ's I have purchased, but these banyans are seemingly cheap, fragile and not engineered to deliver the reliability and durabliilty I expected from MJ products. I can see it's just a matter of time before they break again.

Love the Glasses but my nose piece fell off, i am sending them in today 9-21-10 and hope to get them back soon.
reccommend these glasses to anyone with a big head like me

Just received my Banyans (tortoise/Maui Rose) in the mail and absolutely love, love, love them! They are perfect for running and yet I can dress them up, too. I love how comfortable and lightweight they are. Can't wait to get my next pair! I love looking at the world through rose colored glasses!!

I have had several top notch sunglasses from Gargoyles to Ray Bans to Oakley's but these are the best looking, best fitting, best performing pair of sunglasses I have ever had. The clarity of the lenses are amazing. I love em!

The Banyans are my fourth pair of Jim's over a 15 year span and quite possibly my favorite. The Maui Sports are the most comfortable glasses on the market. I purchased the Bronze lense for the third time. They are great for ALL conditions. I've seen some reviews that talk about the nose pads in your line of vision and it it takes some getting used to. I can't see them even trying to do so? These glasses are 100%.

As far as I'm concerned there is not a better brand of sun glasses in the world at any price!
