Great Pair of Glasses for driving
Review by: dcs1312 -
I bought the Banyan HT today and wore them on a sunny four hour drive from San Antonio to Dallas, Tx. The first thing I noticed was that I didn't have to raise the glasses to look at the dash board or look at my GPS or even read a text message on my cell phone. The colors and brightness of what I was seeing through these lenses were balanced even when I would shift my view from the windshield to the reviewview mirrow or side mirrows. It was about 6PM when I pulled in the driveway and realized that I still had my glasses on and the sun was setting but these lenses were not impacting my visibility. I was tired from the long drive but my eyes were not. Great news for a man over 50 who's eyes get tired at the end of a long day! I never noticed the noise piece that is mentioned in other reviews but maybe its just me. I hope these work just as well this summer while outside in the bright Texas sun. I highly recommend the Banyan HT for driving.

Banyans
Review by: Sunglasslover -
I'm the biggest fan of Oakley brand, I owned a lot Oakley sunglasses including the Pit Boss, this is my firs purchased of the MJ Banyans sunglasses, I really love the fit, it's so comfortable and look great...! I read all the reviews regarding the nose pad and the bridge, even though they don't bother me much, however I do agree if MJ can fix this problem, then there is nothing to complain about these sunglasses, they're so COOL, and for sure I will buy more of MJ sunglasses in the near future.

Banyans 412
Review by: SpyderMac -
Just got a pair of the Banyans 412 with green lens. Fit and feel are excellent, the only problem I have is that the nose pads are a little too big. It's almost a distraction while looking thru them, you will always see the black pads right at the edge. It's like holding your finger between your eyes.
If I could change the nose pads to smaller pcs or clear ones, then this would be the prefect set of sunglasses.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Banyans 412 in Rose not grey
Review by: CTG8 -
I bought these 412 Banyans to prevent me from ruining another pair.
I scratched the polycarbonate lenses of my other jim's and I was not happy. So these are supposed to have a layer of glass to help reduce scratches. They seem to feel much sturdier than other MJ's so I hope to keep them a very long time.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Ultimate Active Sports Sunglasses Protection
Review by: canoe65 -
I purchased my MJ H412 Banyans (tortoise frames and bronze lenses) a month ago, specifically to be used as active outdoor sports wear - example: bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, hiking. They are excellent eye protection from the sun's effects. They are lightweight, well made, comfortable fitting and complimentary to my facial features.
I have also owned a pair of Maui Jim Voyager (MJ 178 - tortoise frames and bronze lenses) sunglasses for a number of years (since 2003). They are more traditional in styling and I wear them more for general purpose use, driving and at the beach.
Between the two pairs of Maui Jim's that I own, I believe I am now very well covered with sunglasses protection.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Banyans - Green Lense
Review by: RDub22 -
Awesome Awesome clarity. Got a pair last year as a promo gift and my wife scratched the lenses so the first chance I got to get another pair I did. Great for outdoor events. I use these to play golf in, pitch to my son's baseball team, fish, etc...
Absolutely love them!(Posted on 11/28/12)

Great but could be better
Review by: rjordan -
The only con in this list is that on my face I can see the large hump across the bridge of the glasses. Everything else goes in the Pro column. They are clear and make everything vibrant. cut down on glare to the point that it is gone. And best of all they have the same great customized feel of all MJ's

Screw Loose
Review by: IOhSilver -
Great glasses, light, great lense, comfortable ride.....................
But not happy about the screws holding the frame in place. I have not had these very long but have had to tighten the screws twice now. As I am careful with the sunnies and do not use them in extraordinary situations it concerns me a bit.(Posted on 11/28/12)
