This is my first pair of MJ's after having had many of the top brands that I've been satisfied with through the years. The bar has officially been raised. They're first and foremost, sunglasses, not glasses and frames. So that's cool in and of itself. Minimalist. Then they've got superb optics which are crystal clear and truly do enhance everything. Last, but not least, they are the lightest easiest wearing glasses I've ever owned. It's like they are not even on your face. All day and into the sunset they are a cake walk. Surprisingly, they also seem durable, as you can twist and bend them (within reason) without breakage.

I'm looking forward to getting another style down the road, although I may never wear them as long as I have the Breakwalls.

I don't like these as much as my last pair of much more expensive Maui's, but for the price they are outstanding. Beat the pants off of costa any day of the week. The clarity is amazing, quality second to none, and they are probably the lightest i have ever worn. Awesome!

I was worried about finding a new pair of Maui's to replace a 5-year old pair I broke. I was thrilled to find the new Breakwall gray. I might return for the bronze!

I bought 2 pairs of sun glasses lately an Oakley X-Squared and this Breakwall Maui Jim. I love this one; lightweight, fashionable, unbelievable clarity. So comfortable that I wear it indoors almost as much as I do outdoors. Colors are enhanced by these optics and would recommend Maui Jim to everyone who wish to have a quality pair of glasses

I have looked everywhere for a pair of sunglasses that would not give me a headache and I was willing to pay anything. I have tried other light weight glasses and end up with a headache in minutes. The Breakwalls do not do that to me It is nice to be able to go out in the sun without a headhache. I love my glasses. wouldn't trade them for anything.

Ok, Third pair of MJ's. Just lost my sandy beach pair last weekend and not happy about that at all. So I went to replace them with another pair of the exact model. The salesman came over and asked me to try these break wall glasses. I was intrigued with the thin frames, the rimless lenses and the nose gaurds. The nose gaurds are smooth and I love that! The frames are not attached to the lenses with any type of visible screws or pins. Only two steel pins in the hinges and that's it. These are so light weight! You barely realize you have them on other than the comfort your eyes experience. They rest comfortably on my face and provide great eye cover. The lenses are what you expect from Maui Jim. They are very flexible which threw me off at first but I can't see this as anything but a plus. Looking forward to MANY years of enjoyment and clear optics and protected eyes! Unlike my wonderful sandy beach pair, these are so easy to clean since the lenses are rimless. I am very pleased.

These glasses are awesome for golf I have never hit the ball so consistently well for 18 holes before in my life. This has been happening since I purchased these about a month ago.

Great shades, but they are VERY FRAGILE. I have had these less than a year, and I am shipping them back for the second time to have the nose bridge replaced.

The Ho'okipa's are much sturdier glasses.

As the title says, this is my first pair of Maui Jim's. I was looking for something lightweight and polarized within a certain price range and this was one of the suggestions. The "Island Lifestyle" advertising didn't affect my decision because I hadn't seen it until after I bought it.
One day (long review time I know) later I'm quite pleased with how well I can see with them and how they look on. The flexible frame is fantastic for easy off (though probably a bit more effort to put them on than rigid frames.

I've owned Giorgio Armani's (which I adored but mysteriously disappeared), Oakleys, Ray Bans, and Revo's but by far I prefer the Maui Jim's. They look great on men or women so the unisex design works well.

Not great glasses. Great looking, but poorly designed and built. Half the online reviews said great, the other half said bad. I was too optimistic. These glasses break right where the reviews said they would, right when they said they would. The plastic is much too weak and will first bend out of shape before breaking without any real stress being applied. Not recommended.
