Neutral Grey: Perfect for especially bright, direct sunlight. Offers rich color and contrast along with the highest available light production, unlike ordinary grey lenses that flatten light evenly across the spectrum.
HCL® Bronze: For everyday variable conditions, from full sun to overcast. Provides excellent contrast. Great if you love a warm, subtle bronze tint.
Maui HT™: High-Transmission for times when most lenses would be too dark — sharper contrast and more vibrant color for early morning, late afternoon and foggy days. Heightens contrast and depth of field so that low light is perceived with new vibrancy.
PolarizedPlus®2: In every pair of Maui Jims you’ll find our patented, color-infused lens technology that wipes out 99.9% of glare, 100% of harmful UV and boosts color via specially designed lens treatments. So your view is clearer, with crisper contrast and amazing brilliance.
Polycarbonate: When durability and protection against shattering are the priority, choose a lens that stands up to your most intense activities. Scratch- and impact-resistant. Injection molded for crisp optics. With patented lens treatments that infuse your view with vivid color. Your lightest choice for long days in the sun.

too fragile
Review by: stauggirl -
very light-weight and according to a lot of reviews, break right at the bridge (mine did). shipping and replacement are costing me just over $50.00 - not sure if it was worth it as the potential to break again is likely - should have spent that $50.00 towards a more durable pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. Disappointed that MJ is not fixing these for free or offering a credit towards another pair - definitely not their best design.

Everything I wanted in sunglasses
Review by: ShaneB -
First, these are the only pair of sunglasses I've seen that are both polarized and amber in color. I prefer amber since they block sunlight but give the best visibility. Next is they are super comfortable which I love. I don't normally wear glasses so I find most glasses annoying. I forget I'm wearing these because of their light weight and minimal contact points on the head/face. They don't wrap around the back of the ear which is usually my #1 issue with most glasses.

Good Value
Review by: Satsuma -
Durability Fit Value Style I bought the Root beer/Bronze HCL colored Breakwall as a replacement for my older ray bans that I used primarily for driving and travel. This is my third MJ pair and is intended to be my general purpose set that I also take on overseas travel. My main goals were color (I like the bronze best for driving - maybe biased from the old Serengeti driving glasses that I preferred), weight/comfort (light), and cost. I wanted a relatively inexpensive set since I had a an expensive pair stolen on overseas travel before. It was the Breakwall or the Lighthouse, but I already own the Lighthouse (Smoke / Maui HT) for use while golfing so opted to try the Breakwall.
Overall I have used them for about two months and have been very pleased with the comfort and optics. I can keep them on my face all day and don't mind carrying them on travel. While it is too soon to really make a call on durability, I have not seen any scratches yet, and the frames have done well in my carry-on baggage (with the case). For me, the bronze does a better job in daylight with good contrast without being too dark at sunrise, sunset, and in hazy conditions. I find that the color is fine even in the bright sun in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
I may update my review over time, but for now, it's perfect for what I need.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Not my favorite
Review by: MCoffey777 -
So far I have been dissatisfied with my Breakwalls. They boast a frame which is indestructible but I have kept these glasses in my car for the most part and after a year of ownership now find them bent slightly so they no longer sit straight on my face. I have found Maui to have excellent customer service and hope this review is enough to get some attention. My main complaint with Maui Jim sunglasses is that they will not stay on your shirt when closed. As soon as you bend over they will fall on the ground which is almost always pavement which scratches the lenses. I am overall dissatisfied and will not be purchasing another pair of Maui's even though they have a huge upside.

Amazing!
Review by: RobVu27 -
These frames are amazingly light wieght. They are great for long distance wear and the darker lenses prevent any squinting while in direct sunlight. They grasp on really well and are light enough to not damage the lense if they fell off anyones head. I use the darker lenses in direct sunlight and the green or brown lenses when fishing. All around best polarized filtering when compared to any other brand!

"Sunsational", Lightweight, Soothing Pleasure
Review by: Translator -
I am so impressed with these sunglasses that I made it a point to share my enthusiam with you. The moment I tried them on in the store, I was hooked. They offer a peaceful look on life on sunny days and adjust beautifully to indoor and outdoor light if you are running in and out of stores. Their feather-like weight is impressive, you'll even forget you are wearing sunglasses!
Thank you Maui Jim for this great quality product.(Posted on 11/28/12)

These glasses are by far the best I have ever worn weather its activities around the house, sports, or long distance driving. They are extremely comfortable, light weight, and the clarity is uncomparable to other brands.

Good and bad
Review by: BigDave11 -
Durability Fit Value Style I've had many pair of the Sandy Beach over the years. Decided to move to these - better shaped lenses - liked the look. Had for 3 months. Recently lost a nose cushion while wiping them off at the golf course. Didn't feel it come off - and by the time I put them back on - no way to find in the grass. So had to pull the other one off for symmetrical fit (although too low).
Then had the ear support break tonight. Guess they simply started to fall apart after 3 months or so.
The best part - no way to find parts. I should be able to buy the ear frame and a nose piece cushion - even if it was $30 would be way less than my current option, which is to send them back and not see for a month.
Pass on these - too flimsy.(Posted on 11/28/12)
