I've been looking for an aviator-esk type of frame that doesn't look completely ridiculous on my face for over a year. I finally found The Guardrails and they are AWESOME. They're light and comfortable on my face and the nose pieces keep the glasses from slipping. The lenses provide for a super clear and crisp view.

I haven't really had them in any extreme situations that would speak to the durability of the glasses, but so far no complaints.

They are a bit pricey, but you're also getting what appears to be a pretty well-crafted pair of sunglasses. Plus I've gotten TONS of compliments so I'd say it's worth it. #noregets

I have been wearing Maui Jim sunglasses for about twelve years and I believe they are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. I spend most of my time on the Ocean and the desert. Good sunglasses are a must in my life. Recently I found that the glasses I have been wearing were discontinued, much to my dismay. I tried a few different models and discovered guardrails. I love them! Best Maui Jim's I have ever had. Hope they are around for a long time. I purchased two pairs to make sure.

Glasses are lightweight and very comfortable. Lenses eliminate glare very well but are still light enough to where you dont have to take them off the second you walk indoors. They feel very sturdy and well build unlike the cheap knockoffs (you get what you pay for when it comes to quality). And last but not least, they look great whether youre at work, at the beach, or just out and about. Worth every penny.

These are my 5th Maui Jim's and I can not believe how clear and crisp everything looks through these lenses. I purchased these at my optometrist's office and wanted these lenses as my regular glasses. The frames are very stylish and did I mention LIGHT. I can not even feel these are on my face! They are light and contour to my head that they don't squeeze or weigh down on any points that they rest on or come in contact with. LOVE THEM!

I first bought these sunglasses for myself for my bday. Soon after, I was told by my eye doctor that I needed a prescription. luckily, I was able to return the regular pair and i ended up purchasing the same pair with a prescription. i love these glasses and will be purchasing another pair when I can.

The guardrails are extremely stylish sunglasses. They are lightweight and through the lenses colors appear very lively and vivid. One thing that disappointed me greatly is the fact that Maui Jim had the boldness to charge for standard shipping. May seem irrelevant to some but when you spend $300+ on sunglasses, one would think that the one pound box would ship for free (standard shipping). Most companies are proud to offer free standard shipping once you spend as little as $60 or $80. People buy 15-20 lb. TVs online for $300 and they ship for free –

After becoming a Maui Jim convert 2 years back, I can't imagine life without these sunglasses.

The MauiFlex metal is extremely light and resilient, just as described. I was hesitant to purchase these before reviews were available, but I am so happy I did.

I had tried the Lahainaluna style but found them to be way too front heavy-- the Guardrails seem more balanced and fit more like the Maui Jim Sport line.

Lastly, I think the blue coloring with the silver frames looks great, but if may not be for everyone.

I purchased the Silver, polarized aviator style Guardrails. They fit great-better than any aviator style i've tried. They are light and adjustable. The mirrored finish on the lenses looks sweet. The durability of the flex frame is incredible. Very expensive however!!

I made the poor decision to order a different pair of glasses from Maui Jim before trying them on. I immediately realized they were not a good fit and Maui Jim quickly refunded my account without any hassle. After trying on the Guardrails at a local store; I immediately decided to purchase these.

I was impressed as soon as I put them on and realized how light they felt. The "MauiFlex metal" is a very unique material that is lightweight and flexible. This really eases tension on the hinges when opening and closing the glasses. The lenses are dark enough for intense sun exposure though light enough to stay on during lower light conditions. I purchased the silver and blue frames and was impressed at the style difference that they make. The blue sets them apart from others just enough without being too out there for me.

Overall I would highly recommend these glasses to anyone looking for a good pair of driving or boating glasses. High quality glasses and great customer service have made a new loyal customer.

Aviators have the unique ability to transform one's face from normal to one
that screams you are a person of class.
I opted for the silver and blue so they contrast with tan skin and they really
pop.
