I have had a very hard time finding sunglasses that can seriously live up to their claims of reducing glare. I have purchased Ray Bans, Revo, etc. No luck, some let glare in from the side, others from below. It did not matter whether I was driving, fishing, skiing, or just doing yard work. I was always either uncomfortable or squinting from the glare.
Then I started asking around stores, reading print and web articles and the name Maui Jim just coming up. I did further research and it appeared to me that they just put more science and design into their products. The people I spoke to just raved about them and the info on the Maui Jim web page was very informational. All those things help me get over the hump of shelling out the money for yet another pair of sunglasses.
Well let me tell you, am I glad I did. All I can say is WOW!!! from the first time I tried them on, the difference was undeniable. I was trying Costa's, Bolle, and Oakley side by side. The only one that came close to cutting down glare and picture quality was Costa. However, when I tried Costa's and Maui Jim side by side there was a clear winner. Maui Jim won by two lengths and the only pair of glasses that my wife had a Wow reaction to was the Maui Jim's. Done deal!!(Posted on 11/28/12)

Disappointed

My first expensive glasses (for me anyway) and not even a year old the arm on the glasses broke at the bending point. They are just too thin at this point.
The disappointing thing is I don't wear these glasses that much and they always go in the case after being worn. I would not recommend Maui Jim glasses.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Fit Value Style I am on my 4th pair of this style of glasses,,,2 were chewed on by my lab when he was a puppy!! Yes i was sick when i saw them beyond repair..my other pair i gave to my husband...I can say enough about how much I love Maui Jim sunglasses,,,I only wish you would sales or a coupon off on another pair.... :)

Durability Fit Value Style This is the 2nd pair of Maui Jim sunglasses that I've had. I loved the 1st ones that I had and wore them out after 3 - 4 year, so I went back and bought the same type/color Maui Jim's just last year. My eyes are very sensitive to the sun, so I can't go anywhere without my sunglasses ... I depend on them!

Problem with the nose bridge.

Durability Fit Value Style I love Maui Jim glasses and the HCL Bronze lenses are amazing. The only issue I had was the nose bridge slightly obstructs you view. There is a place where it screws into the lens at the top of your field of vision and it is very annoying. It is accentuated if you are looking sideways in either direction.
I will be returning theses glasses for another style very close to these.(Posted on 11/28/12)
