This model was my second Maui Jim. Despite three years of heavy use it is still like new. Great fit and finish, very sturdy and flexible at the same time. Great for any activity, especially for active sports. I love Maui Jim's lenses. You see the natural colors so crisp and beautiful, it is hard to describe. My first Mau Jim is still going after 7 years, and it has gone through a lot, and it still has great lenses and a strong frame. And I just bought my third one. Overall great sunglasses.

Throughout my life, I am now in my 40s, I have owned many pair of sunglasses. I am extremely select. My eyes are sensitive to many variations of light. These are phenomenal sunglasses. I liked them so much, I purchased two pairs right off. I'll be purchasing several more and giving them as gifts. Nothing but enjoyment.

I got it last week.
I got it by suveniors that My friends went to Frorida at last week.
413 is very good sunglass than 407 .
because lens shape is very round and thin.
407 was very near my eyes.but 413 is good position.
413 is storong flame i think.
I have alot of MauiJim.(kind of 7) but
provably I will use 413 mainly this year.
I am recomend 413.
I love MauiJim.

I am a long-time MJ fan, and have owned close to a dozen, most recently 407's. So when the new models came out with wider selection of lens colors, I decided to try one. I read the reviews and saw comments like "nose bridge visible" on 412, and "you can see the nose pieces" on 414. But no such comment on the 413, and in fact one customer reported that he liked the 413 better than his 407.

So I decided to try the 413. Guess what, SAME problem with the 413. I guess my eyes must be "close set" as one 414 user put it, and the screws are in my peripheral vision, driving me NUTS.

I could never rate an MJ less than a 4 star, because they are such high quality products, but this one is not for me. May be these 3 new frames work better with people with extra wide faces?

I love the new Maui HT lens, but I am going back to my trusty 407 Maui Rose.

I was unable to wear sunglasses playing golf until I got this pair of sunglasses with the HT lenses. I would highly recommend these glasses with any color lens, however the HT are great for sports!

I dont normally take the time to submit product reviews, but I could not resist on these. I just got the 413-10 in tortoise/maui rose, and I could not be happier. I previously owned a pair of MJ's, then switched to Ray Ban and then Arnette, and after getting my new pair of MJ's, I don't know why I ever switched. The lenses are crystal clear with plenty of glare protection and the frames are so light, it feels like you arent wearing anything at all. Another plus is that you can easily wear them with hats, as I have found in the past, that is not easily do-able with all sunglasses. Would recommend these to anyone who enjoys quality sunglasses.

I originally had a pair of MJ's with PolarizedPlus 1 lenses - they were perfect. I then tried the PP2 rose and bronze lenses but they are just a bit too dark for me. I like to be able to where my MJ's as I pop in and out of stores, shadows, twilight, rain,... The HT lens fit the bill perfectly. They are great and just what I had been wishing for.

The Hanalei 413 frames are decent. The nose bridge is noticeable if you read the reviews and know to look for it. The inside frame support likes to brush against my eyebrows - maybe that is just an issue with my face.

Still gets 5 stars thanks to the HT lens and overall comfort.

Good news: I absolutely loved the new HT Lens..MJ definitely is on to something with this lens. They are nice and clear and perfect for golf.

Bad news: I was very disappointed with the fit and sturdiness of the frames. The fit was poor as the top of the frame brushed against my eyebrows, and the frames were not very adjustable. The screws near the nosepiece were also distracting. The frames were flimsy and I basically I felt these sunglasses consisted of a high quality lens in a Foster Grant frame.

End result: I returned these and purchased Oakley Half Wire. I wish MJ would offer this lens in a sturdy wire frame.

HT lenses are great. Just what I've been looking for. Fit is poor. The screws near the nose piece distract your vision. Put the HT lenses in the 407 frames and you'll sell out in a heartbeat.

I HAVE OWNED DOZENS OF SUNGLASSES OVER THE YEARS BUT NEVER VERY SATISFIED OVERALL WITH ANY ONE PAIR. I RECENTLY FOUND A PAIR OF SUNGLASSES NEXT TO MY CAR IN A PARKING LOT NOT KNOWING WHAT TYPE THEY WERE.THEY WERE A LITTLE BEATEN UP BUT I TRIED THEM ON AND COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES, THEY WERE GREAT. I MADE MY WAY DOWN TO THE SUNGLASS STORE AT A LOCAL MALL AND DISCOVERED THEY WERE MAUI JIMS. I PURCHASED THE HANALEI TORTOISE/BRONZE MODEL. THEY ARE GREAT! LIGHT , COMFORTABLE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GLASSES AND ANY MAUI JIM PRODUCT.
