ever since i was turned onto mjs i've bin hooked,you can not what so ever beat these sun glasses,in any stile no matter who makes them.. i swere by them.i've lost 3 pairs to the sea,and go by anither pair ! cant be with out them. i dropped a pair of avaitors, sent them to you to be repaird, what agreat job. i cant be any more happyier...love,love,love them!!!!!!!!!

I thought sunglasses were suppossed to make my field of view darker. I thought sunglasses were a compromise and vision would be obstructed. Glasses would be heavy and never be as comfortable as not wearing any.

Boy was I wrong. Maui Jim's are super. They actually retain the vibrant color and contrast you get on a sunny day without the harmfull effects of dangerous UV rays.

Comfort is like nothing else. I can actually wear them all day and not feel like I am having to constantly adjust them up the bridge of my nose.

Field of view is obstructed and natural. I have never been so happy with a pair of glasses.

I even love the case they come in.

I only wished that I lived in a part of the country that was sunny all year around.

Bought Ho'okipa with progressive lenses a few weeks ago. Now I have 3 pairs of MJs. My older Ho'okipa readers were great for skiing and hiking because I could read maps, sign for lift tickets, read the bar menu etc. But then I needed a prescriptions on top so I ordered the Ho'okipa with progressive lenses.

The progressives are good for driving but lousy for outdoor activities because the foreground is a blur. Only the top 35% of the lense is the distance prescription. When I am hiking with my head in a natural walking position, the first 35-45 feet of terrain is in a blur because I am looking through the intermediate zone of the glasses. I wear my sunglasses for downhill skiing too. It may less of a problem for skiing because it is natural to look further ahead and there is not so much detail in the "ground" surface.

I can see where progressive -clear lenses - would be great around the house and around the office, but be careul when you buy progressives for outdoor activities.

I am going to call to see if the can make a progressive with 2 zones instead of 3, so the very bottom would be for close-up and the top 2/3 for distance. Otherwise I will have to continue hiking with my Ho'okipa readers.

I scratched my left lens - my fault, not a manufacturing defect - the repair was completed in a timely manner and the glasses came back like new. The best sunglasses I have ever owned - I bought them to replace a pair of Serengetti Drivers I had for over 15 years - I only wish I had tried Maui Jim's years ago!

I have had mine for over 3 years. I have tried many different glasses and keep coming back to these. I have ordered a spare just in case they are ever discontinued. I love them that much

My 2nd favorite pair of sunglasses, they are the perfect back up for my Maui Jim Ho'okipa Titanium, which are my favorite.

These sunglasses are great for Bay/Offshore fishing and for hunting. Excellent for Kayaking aswell. I will never be without them. I have had other brands but I love my Mau Jims.

I noticed an improvement the first minute I used these glasses. I noticed I squint more frequently while driving. I started to have headaches and my eyes would get tired. I was worried when I decided to drive with my girlfriend to a park for a hike. I bought this style of glasses, with her advice. We left for the hike. I could see everything more clearly and in more detail! She tried them during the drive back and she noticed the glare disappeared from cars and the reflected light disappeared. She also said her vision improved with these sunglasses. She wasn't happy with her old sunglasses anymore.
