I have 5 pairs of Oakleys, 1 Persol, 2 Julbos, 1 Revo, 1 Vuarnet and I just got a pair of the Hookipa at a golf tournament for free. My first plan was to sell them on eBay but became a believer after trying them on. I'm not crazy about the way they look on me, but that's because I didn't pick this frame. However, the lenses are really great. They're really comfortable and it really relaxes my eyes. I'm very impressed with the clarity. I'd say they're slightly edged out by the Julbos but are slightly better than the other glasses I own. Maui Jim's are great sunglasses and will be on my short list when I look for my next pair.

I have never spent more than $10 on a pair of sunglasses in my life. But my wife was worried about my eyes and UV Rays and forced me to buy my Maui Jim Ho'okipa's. Holy smokes....what have I been missing!?!?! I use them everywhere and panic when I misplace them. I play golf all the time and I think my putting has improved because I can see the undulations on the green better. My optometrist said once I try these, I won't wear anything else. She's right!!

I love these sunglasses. Have owned them for about two years and will never put anything but this pair. I also cannot say enough about the customer service. One on the nose pads fell off and I called and was sent replacement pads free of charge.

the maui jim ho okipa glasses with the bronze lenses are simply outstanding and enhance my fly fishing.
if you are considering buying a polarized lens for fishing then you wont be dissapointed with maui jim.
they have added a new dimension to my fish spotting ability.
excellent,superb. dont go fishing without them.

I am 15 years old and a lot of people think that I am crazy for spending $160.00 on a pair of sunglasses, but I look at it a different way. I look at it as an investment that I spend the $160.00 now instead of spending more money in the future due to poor eye sight as a result of UV rays and constant stress on my eyes. I also look at it as everyone only has one set of eyes that are irreplaceable and why wouldn't you spend top dollar to keep them healthy. Some would disagree but that is how I feel and always will feel.

These are great glasses. I have them in both lens colors. I scratched one of the lenses on the bronze pair (accident/my fault) and sent them off. They were back in a week or maybe 8 days at the most. They replaced both lenses to make sure they were an exact match. The told me what they were going to do and how long it would take, up front, and they made it happen. Their customer service and the Integrity with which they treat their customers is reason enough for me to be a repeat buyer, but if you try any of their products, you will see that there is no compromise to be made. They make the best sunglasses in the world. I have owned many different brands. I now have many friends who wear my old sunglasses because I gave them away!

If you want to keep your eyes healthy and see better every day of your life, buy a pair of Maui Jim's. I am buying a new pair today just because I like one of the new styles that came out recently. I can rotate and always have a spare in the car and around the house in case I forget mine at work!

I bought these shades last week to replace an older pair of glasses that were *Glass* Polarized lenses.

Glass is supposed to be visually superior to poly in its visual accuracy, inability to scratch, etc.

The MJ lenses blow these out of the water. They are super light, fit great, and my eyes are in constant disbelief on how unreal everything looks.

Usually I go for more stylish frames but these were needed for outdoorsy activities and suit my needs perfectly.

I'm going to have a hard time buying another lens thats not Maui Jim. Bravo!!

Bought my second pair of these after I broke the frame on my first pair back in March 2010. Love the way they filter bright sunlight. Very lightweight, flexible. The only downside is the lens(s) will crack on the inside corner if the frame flexes too far (like sitting down with the glasses in your pocket). Ordering replacement lenses.

I would buy them again.

These sunglasses are excellent. I have never kept any pair of sunglasses as long as I have kept these. I bought these right after getting Lasix 7 years ago. I found that the sun glare gave me headaches and now I could get a good pair of sunglasses. These sunglasses took care of that and are still going strong. I just bought a second pair after 7 years! Other than the nose pieces coming off after 5+ years, the sunglasses are still looking great. I would highly recommend these glasses. I have not been "nice" to them but I have not managed to break them yet. I'm sending my first pair in to get the nose pieces replaced and new lenses (due to just a few scratches!). Have to have a backup!

Far the best purchase on sunglasses I have made. I have also previously owned other Maui Jim sunglasses that have held their tradition for tough, non-scratch lenses. I have used the 407 many times while around salt water and their performance for scratch resistance has held true. The 407 are comfortable and very light weight, compared to the older styles. You don't even realize they are on. I love them and would highly recommend Maui Jim sun glasses to anyone over other brands.
