My original pair was a gift (mj576-02) Moku. As a personal trainer, I am outside quite a bit with my clients. We train in their homes as well as outside-including the beach. I found that the quality - clarity - and protection exceeded any other product I owned (seveal high end named brands...) My second pair is the Ho'Okipa (mj576-10) which has been recently repaired under a great warranty. Several of my clients have commented on my Mauis and based on what they observed and heard from me purchased similar pairs. They are a great sport and fitness "tool". The polorization - fit - comfort - and - weight make them a perfect for work out "sunglasses". I am hooked. By the way, they make a great surf-fishing companion as well. Keep up the great work. bought my first pair in mexico in neutral grey. Excellent glasses. At the time I really wasn't that well informed about sunglass readers (I am showing my age now) so the first pair worked great but I had to change to other glasses for reading. I do a lot of fishing and bought a pair of cheap readers for tying flies etc. then discovered the MJ reader option. Bougtht a second pair (bronze) in readers and they are all I wear when fishing or sailing. A little tricky getting used to for golf so switch back to the regular grey.

These are the 3rd pair of glasses ive had(revo, rayban,maui jim), and because of the versatility, lightweight, and of course Polarization. I fish and go to the beach alot and are unmatched for clarity. I find myself in stores without even noticing i still have them on. I recently bought my wife a pair of palms and she cant live without them. Their customer service is the Best.

I wore Oakleys for years until I received a gift of Maul Jim's Ho Okipa's and was completed sold on them. The nose brim broke and I used super glue trying to fix them. I was totally lost without them. The warranty was not given to me with the gift so I wrote a letter and sent them to Maui Jim's customer service. They replaced them with a new pair charging a small fee.

I have been a long time wearer of these glasses and can highly recommend them. The optics are distortion free and the polarization and coatings are very effective. When the lenses are clean, on a sunny day, the glasses seem to "disappear" and it looks like I am viewing the world naturally. Though I find some small amount of gap between my cheek and lens edge, I have never had a problem with internal glare. They hold up great with beach/boat and saltwater exposure, just wash them at the end of the day. I frequently just step in the shower with them on! Very lightweight, you will forget you're wearing them. When I thought I lost my pair years ago, I went out and bought the same pair again (only to find the others a few days later, now I have two :) )
Two small complaints that aren't deal breakers for me, I have had a problem with the nose pads loosening on these. Additionally, when wearing a ball cap, due to the nature of the straight earpieces, sometimes I find the cap pushing down on the glasses causing them to rise up off my nose. I still prefer the straight earpiece for daily wear though.
Simply solid performers. Average the price over many, many years of wearing them and it is negligible.

Simply outstanding! This is my 2nd pair of MJ's and it doesn't get any better. My first pair went through everything; camping, fishing, hunting, every ball sport imaginable - and you don't even know your wearing them. There is absolutely no strain on the eye. If you're active, do not hesitate to purchase a pair. Well worth the $.

Ohhh God, I do not have words to describe these shades. I bought these, thought they were too delicate, returned them. Then I got a pair of Oakley Flak Jacket cos I always owned Oakley. I was back at the Oakley store in 4 hours. The polarizing effect of the MJ's was just way better. The oakleys also always reminded me that they were on my face. I cannot even feel the MJ's on my face. Light, feel delicate but real sturdy, really nice. I use them while driving and biking around the river here in Tulsa. I don't think there is anything else that even comes close to it. MJ Sport simply rocks. Don't waste your time like I did. That is the only reason I am taking time out to write this review. Over three years ago I bought a pair for my wife, and she was so happy with them, that I bought a pair for myself. I like the style, and they are very comfortable to wear. I live in Cuernavaca, Morelos MX. I have a problem of high sensibility on my eyes and usually I´ve been used Oakley sunglasses for the protection and durabiliy, but after try Maui Gim the change in every sence are amazing... are so light, the filter are wonderfull and almost heavy duty.
