Was a staunch RayBan fan - until my wife bought me my first MJ Sport. I could not believe the heavyduty - almost MIL-SPEC tioughness from thes light weight shades! The optics are the best, at any price, that I have tried. Great color resolution and protection. They stand up to biking, general wear and some beach time here in B.C., Mexico. They look as great as they perform.

Finally, as if that wasen't enough, I found that the customer service is world-class. I had to have lenses replaced (my fault - always shake sand outa your carry case!) These people are just great. Reasonable price and super fast return. Nuf said -

I wear these glasses whenever I play golf. I keep them in my golf bag they are great. I do not find that there is any distortion and the ball doesn't change position like most sunglasses. I also find that my green reading is very good when I have these glasses on. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality glasses that are very light, distortion free that cut the glare.

i bought these glasses today 10 dec 09 and while holding them in my hand i squeezed my hand and they snapped at the join of the croospiece to the lens.It appears to be a weakpoint as there is a screw in the same area which will weaken the frame.

Picked up the MJ Ho'okipa from the REI store in San Diego Calif. First day had these on the whole day. I forgot I had them on. I have had these for a few days now. Very light in weight, excellent clarity and great style. I have heard from many friends that the MJs last. we will see. I am a long time Ray Ban user, 25yr+ and sometime Oakley user. So far the MJ has out preformed both. Very happy with these so far!!!

I bought my Ho'okipa about 4 days ago and it has been one of the best sunglasses ive purchased so far. Super light, fun to wear and a wonderful pair of polarized lens. Maui Jim my new favorite brand.

On to my 2nd pair so I obviously like the glasses. Unfortunately lost my glasses at the airport because the new clip is difficult to use and doesn't allow proper attachment to belt loops etc. The old case with the spring loaded clip worked fine......why change?

I already knew I loved Maui Jims having worn them for the last 20+ years. When my close up vision started to go, I thought I might have to give up my Maui's but they were ready for me. These are the exact same amazing sunglasses with bi-focal strength lens in the bottom corner of the glasses. So now I can sit on the beach reading, cycle with them on and read my bike computer, wear them in my car and still see my phone text or car maps, and check ID's for my outside job. They have several strengths, so my husband wears them now too and loves his. I will never go back to any other sunglasses. These are the best. I use the dark gray/black as they cut both the glare and the intensity of light allowed to enter the eye area. I have light sensitive eyes, and only these sunglasses make my eyes go "AAHHHH" when I put them on. I always have a back up pair, just in case I lose them, someone steals them, or I accidentally break them. The carrying case is strong enough to use on the outside of my purse with a little clip attached.
I am on my 3rd pair, about to buy my 4th pair and they hold up amazingly well.

Just got it today 'coz I lost my other pair of sunglasses. I gotta say I fell in love with it at first sight although I was never a big fan of sunglasses. This product changes my lifestyle. Love it! The pair fits my face pretty well. It feels so comfy while I'm wearing it. Looks so stylish and cool. Plus, the polarized coating and sunglare coating work pretty well. I'd recommend to any fan of sunglasses. The only drawback is that the carrying pouch is not that user-friendly. We need a more convenient one for later product.

This is my third pair of MJ's since gaining an appreciation for quality eyewear. Having tried every pair of sunglasses on the market for people with a large head/face like mine, I must say that Maui Jim, once again, has come through for me, and people like me. The lenses are superior and the fit is incomparable. Well done guys!!!

I have had these glasses for two years and really like them.I have two more pairs of Maui Jim's but these are the ones I wear everyday.I am going to buy another pair of these because the are so comfortable.
