I have to say that I stopped buying expensive sunglasses about twenty years ago after I lost two pair of Oakley's dark and yellow in the same week. They were both about 300.00 and I left one on a plane and the other fell out over my V neck shirt where I always kept them, while I bent over to pick up a piece of trash at a golf tournament.
Well last week our family went on a cruise and my wife wanted to buy me something nice so she purchased a $190.00 pair of Oakley's after I wore them for a while I just did not like them so I went down to the gift shop and asked to talk to the most knowledgeable person about sunglasses. The sales lady was very knowledgeable and hands down said that not only are Maui Jim's one of the best sunglasses in the world do to the quality and craftsmanship. She also got in her purse and showed me her personal pair stating she could where anyone's she wants as part of her working there and she won't wear anything else. These Honolulu stood out immediately as one's I thought I might like when I tried them on I went outside to see how the made the world look and to my surprise the actually made the colors rich and brighter. I am a professional photographer specializing in sports and weddings and also an avid golfer, I own about twenty pair of sunglasses longing to find a pair that I can were for golf that are not only comfortable but that won't change the way that I am able to see the greens as to read the break of the putt. The reason I have so many sunglasses is that the ones I buy start off great looking outside but then when playing I always have to take them off to read the greens and if I get into some shaded areas. I really thought I was taking a huge risk in paying the price for these Maui Jim's knowing that I was not going to play golf until I got home from vacation. Well let me tell everyone that might be a golfer or spend a lot of time in the sun, I never take these off when I am outside even in mild overcast days. I am going to buy least one more of the exact pair just in case I loose these. I truly love these Honalulu Muai Jim's more that any sunglasses I have ever had, they keep all the reflective light from hurting your eyes even during extreamly bright days without a cloud in the skyand at the same time they bring out natures most beautiful colors. I am sold on Maui Jim's if you knew me you would know that I would be the last person you would ever write a review on sunglasses. Oh, I almost forgot I did purchase a lanyard to try to keep these from becoming MIA.

I LOVE these shades! I have the Style #: HT520-15 Color: Gloss Black / Maui HT. The peripheral blockage from sun light is unbelievable! They are light and stay put too...so whatever activity I'm doing, I know they wont juggle around or come off my face! Plus getting envious comments doesn't hurt either! B-)

I recently purchased a pair of the Honolulu H520-30 sunglasses while on vacation in Sarasota. Florida and have to say they are the clearest, most comfortable sunglasses that I have ever owned.

I presently own 3 pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and love them all but the Honolulu model is the best!

Fit perfectly! Light weight and they sit very comfortably on your face. i dont think I have ever worn a more comfortable pair of sunglasses. Its like looking into a better world when you wear them :)

I just bought a pair of Honolulu's direct from MJ and am not as impressed as the previous reviewer. Although they look great they're not the lightweight, clean and classic style that I'm used to from Maui Jim (this is my 4th pair). Being that I am often doing some sort of activity outdoors in the sun, I prefer the lightweight style MJ's that stick to your face like a dragon fly on a fence post. Although potentially great for sunning on the beach i plan on sending the Honolulu's back in exchange for something more sport-friendly.

I get optical migraines and wanted significant coverage sunglasses that didn't look like I was borrowing from my 80 yr old granny. These cover every angle, are lightweight, and perform excellently. I bought the Bronze and love them. They aren't as dark for super sunny days but they still cut glare, keep the squints away and they are fantastic on overcast or grey days. These provide the absolute clearest, obstruction free vision ever! We own 4 pairs of Maui Jim's in our house and have loved them all but these are the best.

I bought these sunglasses about 3 weeks ago and they are the most phenominal glasses I ave owned. The color clarity and quality that these glasses produce are amazing. But the best part is that they cover my whole eye area so no extra light can seep in. Great Work Maui Jim. Thanks.

Honolulu was great however, the frame was slightly too large for my face. I work on a pier (concrete) all day AND ride horses. I wish you would come up with with a slightly smaller frame so people with smaller faces could use this pair. I truly loved the coverage and the polarized lenses...oh, and have the nose piece adjustable.

My stepdad has these and he loves them. He actually wears them instead of his beloved ray bans. He uses them for everything he does.
