Great for driving. Very lightweight. Ideal for fishing or other outdoor activities when sun is high in the sky and you need to reduce glare and improve vision. Fantastic for golf too!

My children provided me a pair for Christmas in 2008. I travel for a living and they are perfect for driving and they are the most comfortable an best lenses of any glasses I have ever owned. After about a year and half they began cracking (starburst) around the nose piece location where the frame attaches to the lens. I sent them in and they sent me what amounted to a brand new pair including the newer and nicer case. Here I am again a year and a half later and the same thing is happening again to 3 of the 4 contact points to the lenses. These glasses stay in the case when I am not wearing them....love the glasses but really cannot understand why this is happening. I have sent these back today in the hopes of another wonderful customer service experience.

Glasses are light weight and fit perfecly. Lost my glasses at the beach and ordered the same glasses when I got home.

I have owned this type of sunglasses for three years and had them repaired twice once after they cracked two months after the original warrantee was up. The second repair was was six months after the first repair and the lens didn't have a scratch on them so there was no abuse. I was told by a Maui Jim technician that this is a common problem with type of frame lens combination. She also told me that the place were I bought them should have warned me of this problem. I think the sunglasses are great but I would not recommend these because a $270.00 pair of sunglasses and a cost of $70.00 to repair them when there out of warrantee it gets a little expensive and there not reliable.

Great sunnies...BUT they break where the lens joins the frames. Had replaced under warranty once, lasted 6 months....Sold the bits on Ebay.....Never buy again.

I bought my pair of Ka'anapali glasses in early 2002, at the urging of a Navy colleague, for use while working at sea. At the time, I viewed the purchase as a professional investment in a tool that would aid me in my work at sea. Beyond the benefits of the excellent optics of these polarized glasses, because of their super-light weight, they are also great for use in any situation where prolonged wear is the case, such as driving, a day at the beach, fishing, etc. They also stay put during more strenuous activity such as jogging, volleyball, etc. I have used these sunglasses at work, at play and almost constantly. As you might imagine, over nearly ten years of use where they have occasionally had bumps, drops and even been sat on, they have held up beautifully! The lens have remained scratch free. The frames have also stayed straight and tight with no wobble at the lens connection (something I worried about when I bought them). These sunglasses are a truly great quality product that I would recommend without reservation to anyone. I have never been happier with another make or model of sunglasses!

I bought my first pair of Ka'anapli 10 or 12 years ago and i have bought other brands and styles since then but i always reach for my favorite pair ( Ka'anapali) . The Best Sunglasses I've ever had peroid......

Ka anapali (model #501-02) are by far the best sunglasses I ve ever owned! They are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time when on the beach, Kayaking, or biking. I recently needed to use your repair service and in all honesty was dreading it. What a pleasure it was to find out that I did not need to worry at all. With-in 9 days you had my or should say  new glasses back to me. The quality of these sunglasses are outstanding and knowing that they are backed by your warrantee and superior customer service has made me a return customer! I can t stress enough how impressed I am with your customer service. Again Thanks

Best sunglasses I have ever owned. They have broken at the bridge twice and each time MJ repaired them with quick turnaround. Have bought other brands of sunglasses and none compare.

I have owned 2 pair of these glasses, one pair ended up at the bottom of a lake. The second are cracking where the bridge meets the lens on both sides.

The polarization is magnificent and the fit is unmatched. But with the cracking, I am x days away from them breaking in half.

If weight is an issue buy them otherwise go with something else.
