Great sun glasses but too fragile. I take very good care of my Maui Jim's, only use them for driving, but I've had to have mine replaced two times for cracks in the lenses at the nose bridge. I'm now on my third pair with the same problem.

I have always brought Ray Ban P's up until now but saw these and loved the design. I have to say they are the best sun glasses I have ever owned. They are so light you forget you have them on and the lenses are excellent. Go out and get some - you won't regret it!

I had 3 pairs of 501 in the past 10 years and also one pair of 502 (brown)
They are the BEST sunglasses I can find on the market. It's so light weight that you don't even feel you're wearing them. Wish they come in bigger lens as I have big head. Only down side is you cannot hang them on your shirt when you are indoor.

If they ever make new model with bigger lens, I'll be the first to buy one.

Pros:

Excellent optics and a terrific fit. Supper light weight with minimal nose pad or ear piece pressure. Wear them for hours without discomfort.

Cons:

Portions of the lenses touch my face necessitating frequent cleaning.

People with long eyelashes may experience lens to eyelash contact and associated fouling of the lenses.

I have had the Kanapali Sunglasses for four three years and I love them. I am a rodeo athlete and I rope and bulldog in them. They stay on my head and never fall off. I love these sunglasses.

These sunglasses are fantastic for anyone. They're flexible, bendable and best of all, FIXABLE. I've sat on these so many times, they've been bent up pretty bad, and i just need to bend them back and they're good. Another great point is that with ten dollars you can get them repaired by MJ.
They're perfect except where the arms and the nose bridge connect to the lenses stress fractures tend to occur.
Over all, GREAT PURCHASE.

All in all I love these glasses but they have a flaw. The frame attach points are to weak. I am very careful and only use them for driving but the lenses crack at the frame attach point. A lot of money for such a fragile design.

This is the second pair of Maui Jim's I have purchased, recommended to me my Maui Jim people when the first pair of rimless glasses failed over and over. After spending over $400 on two pair of glasses that have been great when in one piece but don't stay that way long, I am about ready to say Aloha to Maui Jim and you should too. I bought these expensive tianium framed glasses because the plastic ones I had before that I loved kept breaking at the side pieces-just would snap in half. They fixed them three times and that part is good now but the nosepiece just snapped in half when I took then off. These new ones were fine for a few months but I recently noticed they had developed stress cracks in the lense itself where they attach to the nosepiece and side pieces and the other day completely came apart. Real nice for 300 glasses. For this kind of money, go somewher else. I am so dissapppointed in their glasses. Maybe the framed ones are better-I love their glasses when they work but now I have two worthless pair and nothing to wear but some old cheap ones that at least don't break. Very disappointed in a product that rates itself superior but in actuality is highly inferior. DON't buy these!

I love these sunglasses because they are so lightweight. However, they break easily. I've had to repair the bridge on my last pair and now the pair I am currently using is beginning to break again, but now it's part of the lens. That being said, I'm on this website now because I'm about to buy another pair.

I just noticed that I had a little crack on one of my lens. Sent my Maui Jim KA'ANAPALI at the Ontario's office service repair and within 7 calendar days, imagine I rececived my new Sunglasses (Look's brand new to me)

These Sunglasses are so great for my eyes, lght, best quality material, and the design is gorgeous! I wear them all day long and never feel tired of having them on my nose.
