great glasses
Review by: automatic -
these are GREAT glasses, the only complaint i have is if you have large facial cheeks they might touch the lenses causing them to be smudged. otherwise they are amazing. Wearing maui jim glasses is like having god tint your eye ball. i purchased these glasses before setting off on a Caribbean cruise to replace my high end ray-bans. after my two week cruise my ray bans were had been repaired so i wore them again but to my surprise they were so cloudy in comparison to the maui jim's i had to sell them.

Kahuna 162's in Afghanistan
Review by: WattDoctor -
I bought my first pair of Kahunas 7 years ago. I needed prescription lenses in those days. I had Lasik eye surgery. So, I sent my Kahunas in to Maui Jim to have the nonprescription lens put in. I wore them every day working as a superintendent on roadway projects. When they were dirty, I would wash them off in the sink. After 7 years of abuse, the frames broke. I sent them in to MJ, and they replaced the frames for $75, and the lens for free because they were still under warranty. Here I am in Afghanistan, and there are 3 things that I don't leave my tent without; my flashlight, my knife, and my Kahunas. I'm a customer for life.
Best Regards,
The Watt Doctor

Great Glasses!
Review by: GaDawg -
I have owned many pair of Maui Jims, Costa Del Mar, and Oakleys. All 3 are great companies that make great glasses, but the Kahunas have made me a "strictly Maui Jim guy" from now on. These are the clearest and coolest glasses I've ever owned. A big selling point for me is that they rarely, if ever, fog up like other high end sunglasses. These are well worth the money!

Great but to heavy
Review by: gablo -
Bought these sunglasses a couple of days ago, they look great and provide a great vision. The only problem is that they are too heavy and I can not wear them for long period. The problem could be that I also bought a pair of lighthouse that are so light. Any how I will return the glasses and buy a different pair of Maui Jim, probably the Honolulu

Bring Back Kahuna in Maui Rose!
Review by: EnigmaX -
My first pair of quality sunglasses were Kahunas with Maui Rose lenses that were purchased 12 years ago. While I did my best to treat them right, they ended up surviving quite a few drops until they finally "disappeared" a couple of years ago.
Once I accepted that they were gone for good, I began looking for a replacement pair, only to find that the Maui Rose lenses were no longer available with the Kahuna.
I went through several cheap sunglasses until I was finally able to locate the Kahuna/Maui Rose in discontinued stock online. I was pleasantly surprised to find that as an added bonus, the new pair has the Superthin Glass, which my original pair didn't. Some may feel that they are too heavy, but to me, they are feather light!
I really hope that Maui Jim makes the Kahunas available in Maui Rose once again, as I will no doubt have to replace them at some point down the road.
Being without them for so long has helped me to appreciate the quality of Maui Jim sunglasses. Maui Jim has made a customer for life!(Posted on 11/28/12)

Exceptional Polarized Quality
Review by: Louboy -
The very first thing I noticed after purchasing my Maui Jim's (Kahunas) was my ability to finally read the radio indicator and other LED lights in my car with polarized lenses; with other polarized lenses (like my Ray-Bans) this was not possible. The lens quality appears exceptionally better than any I had bought in the past; the difference was much greater than the subtle upgrade I had anticipated. Style claims these are for larger faces, either these are not quite as big as they claim, or I'm in big head denial. Heavier than my last pairs, but they feel as though they will withstand years of hard use. Plastic arm sleeve not exactly my style, and found one to be loose (not acceptable at this price). Although very expensive, but at my age I realize my eyes are worth it.
*Take one star off for price and loose arm which required going back to vendor for replacement.(Posted on 11/28/12)

2 years and counting.
Review by: Mikeman20s -
I've owned these Kahuna sunglasses for over 2 yrs now. They have performed very well. The polarized lenses cut glare while on the beach, on a boat, or while driving. Constructed very well and durable. Also the lenses are large enough to block out the sun ray's from all angles. Best pair of sunglasses I have ever worn.
