I am a MJ fanatic I own 5 different pairs of MJ sunglasses to fit whatever occasion or activity. I still own all 5 and none have failed, scratched or needed repair.

As with age my vision has changed and I need help reading fine print. I looked into getting RX Kahunas with the Maui Rose lens a year ago and to my surprise was told I could not get RX MJ in Maui Rose. Last week my optomitrist called to tell me MJ has a new lens "Evolution Passport" that would allow me to get RX Kahunas in the Rose tint, but it cost a few dollars more.

Hearing this news I rushed down and shelled out $790 for a pair with my RX, (I am sure they are cheaper w/o perscription) 3 days later they arrived. Oh my these are by far the best of all my MJs. In all light conditions from sunny to overcast the clarity, colors, vision is unbelievable .

I live in NW where we have more than our share of overcast days these lens brighten up even the dullest grey days.

If you like the grey or brown lens you will flip for the Evolution Maui Rose. I am a bit of a fanatic don't believe me, go try on a pair for yourself, it will give you a reason to upgrade.

Just bought my first pair of Maui Jim's today and WOW... Was researching and reading on sunglasses reviews, opinions (looking for glasses to fit my big head) and Maui Jim keeps coming up . Not knowing this company or products, I go to a local sunglass store (me and my wife) and we compared Maui Jim's with other notable companies and quickly found out that not only are Maui's the best bang for the buck, but product quality is impeccable (great constuction and style, confortable, lenses offer fantastic clarity and colour, ...) Best visibility around. I can't wait to wear these on my next fishing trip comming up.

Although I've just tried these today, I got heads turning my way, the clarity\visibility is fantastic and I feel awesome!
Tip: tryout different colour lenses for at least a minute (looking outside preferably) before buying. Superior style and vision for less than fancy names that are just that, fancy names. Although I preferred the Kahunas (especially my wife), all other styles they had at the store visited looked great.

To me, kahunas gives a great subtle sense of style & structure. A classic look with an edge. Want something that looks great without being too flashy, could easily keep and wear for a long, long time, these are it!!!

I just learned about Maui Jim's a couple months ago from my brother who owns a pair along with his wife. I used to be a big RayBan fan. While on a business trip last week my Raybans broke. I went to the Navy Exchange and they had Maui Jim, and Raybans. I tried the MJ's and looked at a drawing of a parrot. WOW!!!. The colors and clarity were awesome. I then tried the Raybans. Nothing happened. So long to Raybans after over 25 years of wearing them. I swore I would never spend over 150.00 on a pair of sun glasses. But I'm sold on MJ's. To heck with the budget. This is my first pair (Kahunas) and I love them. If anyone is looking for a great pair of sunglasses these are it. Save your eyes and spend the extra money. My eyes are light sensitive and these are by far the best set of sunglasses I've ever owned.

I love these glasses. I'm on my 3rd pair and they are as great as my last 2. I lost my last pair, after having for 2 1/2 years, in the ocean due to a huge wave while I was on vaction. I tried a different manufacturer but I couldn't cope with the glare so I purchased a new pair (Kahuna) while still on vacation, paying tourist prices because I couldn't function without them. I love the way they look and fit. I don't beleive there is another sun glass company out there that has the technology of Maui Jim. The polarization lense allows you to see things in the sun that no other glass can provide.

Bar none, the best sunglasses available at any price in the world. I wear mine literally every day of my life, and have for years. If these fit your face and you like the style, you cannot go wrong. If not, pick a different style -- just make sure it's MJ!

I've had my Maui Jim's for over 10 years and I still love them. I bought them when the rose tint first came available. I tell all my family and friends about the clarity and durability of these glasses. I am a truck driver and they help me perform my job better. They are also great at the beach. I am very satisfied with the performance of my Maui Jim sunshades and recommend them to everyone.

I have had my Kahunas for over ten years. They are my second pair of Maui Jim's. The lens quality is outstanding. True colors with the gray lens and the best glare and sun protection I have ever enjoyed. My eyes are sun sensitive and these lenses are perfect for me. The Kahunas are solidly built for those of us who do not pamper our eye wear. I practically smile every time I put my Kahunas on on a very bright, sunny day in southern California. Over the life of these glasses I have dropped them on concrete and stepped on them once. Customer service has always been very professional and responsive. Maui Jim stands behind their products! I have just ordered a prescription pair for my aging eyes and look forward to many more years of Maui Jim quality and eye protection.

I have had these pair for 4 years. There is not another pair of glasses that can even come close to the quality and performance. Get to a store and try them on. You will be posting I agree with the poster above.

As someone who has only  invested in protective eyewear for over 25 years it seems that one company pulls away and in this case it is Maui Jim with the Kahuna.

I have worn everything from Vuarnet to Serengeti s and been pleased with all of them. When it finally does come time to get a new pair, it never fails that the next model seems to be lacking leaving me to seek out another quality product. This time around I tried several brands and believe me neither the sales people nor I were impressed for much different reasons. The moment I put the Kahuna on I knew this was what I was looking for.

Pros:
Fit is very comfortable and stable not tight but fixed for certain
Polarized Lenses are clear, and sharp with very accurate color
Value these glasses are reasonably priced and the quality is obvious

Cons
None so far, however I will update my review should I encounter any.

I purchased my glasses in 1998 on vacation in Florida and still wear them every day. I wear them driving my car, boating and when I play golf. I would recommend these glasses to anyone and have talked 4 of my friends into buying them also.
