I am an eye care professional for an optometrist in OH. The Kahuna is my first Maui Jim purchase. I have no complaints with this sunglass. This sunglass is good for an everyday wear especially the nuetral grey lens.

Out of most of the sunglasses that I have seen and tried on by Maui Jim, the kahuna seems to be the the one that offers the most optical clarity with it's superthin glass lens material.

Frame durability is extremely high with the stainless steel material.

The fitting of this frame is great. It seems to fit every gentleman no matter what size head. It has a high frame wrap which is good for protection and/or if you own a bike.

Great gift for a guy because the style is trendy but neutral so it's okay for business or casual type person. The performance in optics is I think the highlight of this sunglass.

Just received my Kahuna sunglasses in the mail. Could not be happier. I have owned several brands of sunglasses and keep coming back to Maui Jim. Thanks again for a great product! You have a customer for life.

I own two pair of these sunglasses and they are by far the best. I`ve had them for ten years and have sent them in for repairs twice. Damaged by careless handling on my part. Each time the service was great and they were returned to me in perfect condition. You have to put a pair of these on to see what your missing. Thanks much.

I finally made the decision to purchase these (gunmetal with neutral grey) after trying on dozens and reading lots of reviews. I am very glad I did! Even the ride home from the mall was a pleasure in these - a treat for my sensitive eyes! My wife thought I was insane for even considering sunglasses in this price range, but when I walked in the house she said "Oh, I really like those on you!"
Some have reviewed that these feel 'heavy' , but I prefer that rather than the ultra light models. If the glass lens (better optical clarity) and heavier feel appeal to you - your owe it to yourself to try on a pair of these.

I'm living in the wonderful tropical Caribbean the Cayman Islands and I have to wear shades nearly 365 days of the year because of the high intensity UV!

Since I "found" Maui Jim Kahuna (= 12 years or so I believe) I did not wear anything else anymore! I replace every one, two years my Kahuna with another Kahuna because of the high frequency of usage.

Yes, don't drop them, they are glass and just like with a "butter bread", they will fall on the lens most of the times and possible crack. Also wash them with mild dish washing soap and wipe them with microfiber cloth and not any "wood filled" tissue paper, they will get fine scratches over time!

These glasses are the best I had in my life and will wear them as long I can!

My wife and I each got a pair of Maui Jim sun glasses for our wedding presents to one another. I have since replaced them twice. It was my own fault for loosing them, but I can't see buying anything else. Once you try them you will feel the same way.
Thanks Guys you have ruined all other brands for me!

This is my 3rd pair of Maui Jim's and these are the best sunglasses ever. The best lens with a crystal clear view especially on the water fishing and riding in the boat. The frames are metal so I never worry about my sunglasses blowing off my face while riding in the boat at high speeds. Great Look and Style

I own both the Grey and Bronze lens versions of this sunglass style. Both rock! I use the Grey for full sun days and the Bronze for overcast days or when the sun is going down/up.

The frame is good for some one with a medium-large to large headed person, but they don't fit so well on my wife who has just a normal sized head.

Love the style and the clarity. Highly recommended.

I wanted glass lens as I was fed up with shelling out the same amount of money for high quality plastic lens just to have them get all scratched up in a year. These glasses have fantastic optics, fit my normal sized head better than any other pair I have tried and look "marvelous" too. Highly recommended
