First off, I live at the beach... Bright sun from above and brighter sun from the water, and reflections from everything/everywhere! I have never owned a pair of glasses that knocked down the glare like these glasses. I have never owned a pair of glasses that gave you a crystal clear view in this type of environment. The view is very balanced - as the name implies the "neutral gray" gives you a very nuetral/balanced view of the world around you. Not too bright, not too dark, just a very balanced range of color and clarity. Then, I took them with me when I went skiing... same thing: no glare, no reflection, no distortion. I also coach a soccer team. I wear these glasses on the field and I have lost track of the number of times I have been hit square in the face with a soccer ball while wearing these glasses. The glasses went in one direction, the nose went in the other, but every time I picked these glasses up and put them back on in one piece. I don't have a single scratch or chip in these lenses and the frame still fits as comfortably as the day I bought them. I highly recommend these glasses to anyone who is active in a bright, glare filled environment and doesn't have the time to worry about equipment failures.

So I do ride a sports bike and these by far are the absolutely best sunglasses I've worn when riding, along with other activities. While on the road with these glasses they do not budge, or slip or bounce around no matter how hot it may be outside or the road condition. Other pairs I have had by other vendors have done the constantly sliding down my nose while riding making a bit difficult to wear and annoying when that happens. Love these frames and highly recommend them to any outdoor enthusiast, motorcyclist or anyone in general.

I would buy these glasses again. The lenses are great at blocking the sun and very comfortable.
The durablility could be better, but the quality of eye protection and comfort is great. They do a great job of blocking any peripheral glare.
I am on my second set of lenses as they are not very scratch resistant and the lenses have cracked at the bridge on both sets of lenses.
The free replacement rubber pieces for the nose pieces and the ear pieces is a bonus. Although, NO dealers are allowed to stock them so you MUST contact Maui Jim to get them. Not very convenient.

These are the best pair of glasses I have ever owned. No glair, everything looks crisp, and no headache from wearing them all day like some other glasses. I went back and bought my wife a pair also.

I have had a pair of 405's for many years and am very loyal with Maui Jim's. After they broke (they are getting fixed) I thought I'd try a new pair. I purchased 409's (Kanaha) and could not be happier! They are AWESOME. I have a fairly thin elongated face, thus making these an even better fit than the 405's. They cover my eyes (sides included) and sit great on my nose. These glasses do NOT bounce at all when running 5+ miles or hiking 10+ miles. They are also great for driving and outside reading. FIVE STARS!!

I just received my Kanaha's and I am already impressed with them. These Glasses are amazing. They look awesome and feel great on . This is the second pair of Maui Jims that I have Purchased . I purchased a pair of Black Rocks about 3 months ago and I love them as well . I just wanted something a little bit Sportier for the Beach and the Kanaha's are amazing ...

I have been trying to get my wife to spend more than ten dollars on a pair of sunglasses for years. I have suggested Maui Jims several times to her. She tried on my cousin's pair while at the beach and was amazed at the comfort, clarity and light weight, not to mention she looks HOT in them. She finally broke down and asked "Where can I get a pair of these?" She bought a pair the next morning and hasn't taken them off since!

Well - 5 star so far ---- i have just ordered my first pair of jim's - i now need a pair of prescription glasses .as i do a lot of driving ( 800+ km's a week) i am getting a pair of 409's with a prescription lens-( short sighted) in the shop they were as good as it gets for sunglasses lightweight, comfy, and look good . well its up to you now Jim ,lets see how they go when i get them -- i will update later...

Being a Cop I'm on the road all the time, and with the glair of the sun all the my face all the time it can be a little blinding, but with these, I don't really have that issue. They are very light and confort my face nicely. I love them!!

I have four pairs of maui jim including two titanium pairs but my 'go to' glasses are alway the kanahas. I have replaced the lenses in both of my pairs of bronze and grey (due to extreme wearing over many years) and i love them dearly. They are so light that i wear them all day without noticing. Hard wearing and stylish, I find them unbeatable all round glasses.. 5 star . All the way..
