Several of my friends wear MJs and I used to think that they were crazy to spend the big bucks for sunglasses! That was until I tried MJs Kanaha! I finally broke down and dropped a Benjamin and then some to get my first pair of MJs! I am so impressed with the clarity, quality, fit and comfort! The best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned! I am totally sold on MJs! I know that someday, I will dish out the bigger bucks to get another pair of MJs! What are you waiting for? Christmas? Get your own MJs right now!!!

I have three pairs of MJ's...and have been lucky enough to get them all for free. One pair I won in a contest and someone left a pair in my office's lost and found. This pair was from my credit card rewards program and I absolutely love all of them. They are comfortable and have excellent optics. I scratched the lens on these and sent them in for repair, which was done promptly and well. You won't regret buying these!

Second review after the one for the 407's. Note to shoppers: Make sure to try on all pairs you are considering at the same store/time. Exceptional fit means that they are the go to glasses that I wear for hours. Accross the range it's a MJ trait to have excellent lenses. This brand beat all the others in the store and even when comparing them to friends other brands. Which by the way are confusing actually priced higher than MJ's? I don't doubt there has been an issue with the lenses screws and some debate over how owners treat their frames. Personally I'd like to see MJ go the whole hog and make them with bulletproof frames. Make them idiot proof. Personal experience is that so far, so good. Not to say the glasses have been dropped yet but it would be expected that the lenses would be damaged first. With all the MJ products the way they handle colour, glare etc means a huge difference. You physically will feel (especially with the 407's) the relaxation that your eyes will get. You will wonder how you dealt with the eye strain for so long, as I did. This pair is the primary one and there will be more. However the pairs will probably be of the full frame, glass, metal type glasses. For no other reasons that the lenses are worth keeping for ever. Great value for money too as a person learns to care for their body. Prevention is cheaper. Worth saving for too. Again, not bullet proof, drop in mud and so on, but MJ's sport line is worth taking a little more care with. Not in the sense they are fragile (hold the lenses when cleaning for example), but in the sense they are good piece of equipment. Stylish as they they are they have substance to them too with those lenses. Good to see MJ's reputation is still standing which is more than can be said for some brands outsourced to who know's where. Enjoy folks. Plenty of reviews online and make sure to really try on every pair at the one time to be sure.

I have used these glasses for almost 5 years. I can't imagine using anything else. Comfortable, very lightweight, great sunlight control and very stylish. My whole family (wife and both daughters) use MJ's and these sunglasses are worth evey penny. If these ever wear out I won't be trying anything else, I will just purchase another pair of MJ's.

I love my Kanaha 409 sunglasses! I have had this pair of sunglasses for over 4 years. The frame has held up well and shows little to no wear with normal use. The lens however is a different story. About 2 years ago, I had to replace the lens due to a piece of left lens that cracked off. I sent it in for repairs and was returned promptly in like new condition due to new lenses. I recently noticed the left lens is cracked at the screw once again on the left side. I think it is probably a design flaw since I have noticed many people experiencing the same issues when I read through the reviews. I wish Maui Jim would be willing to replace just one lens versus forcing us to replace both lenses which obviously costs more. I am debating on whether to replace the lenses again for the cost of $70+ ($60 lenses + $10 return shipping +$$$ shipping to Maui Jim). Maybe I will try to find a new pair of sunglasses for that price.....

I had a hard time finding sunglasses that fit my face properly until my husband convinced me to invest in a good pair. One feature I wanted was polarized lens. So we went on a sunglass shopping excursion and after trying a GAZILLION I found the MJ Kanaha. I instantly fell in love with them. They were so comfortable and fit my face perfectly. I love how clear my surroundings look and they feel very secure on my face. I've got 3 very active young children, so I'm always on the go. I can look down or even shake my head and they don't move. In the winter on really bright sunny days I can't go out without them. I lost one nose piece after having them for 2 years and took the other nose piece off and I could still wear them comfortably. I had my first pair of Kanaha's for 5 years until my young daughter knocked them off my head and they scratched badly on the sidewalk. I didn't realize you could send them out to be repaired so I bought a new pair. The second pair only lasted 2 years and the left lens cracked/broke at the screw holding it to the bridge. I'm sending them out for repair this time. It's a little pricy, but it's about half the price of buying a new pair and I haven't found any other sunglasses that fit as comfortable.

My doctor suggested MJs seven years ago after Lasek eye surgery because of the polarized plus lenses. I chose these because they were so comfortable and light weight. Yesterday, I dropped them not realizing they fell on the ground under my car tire. I was so sad to see them crushed as I backed out. I immediately came home and ordered another pair. I did have to send them in to have the nose pad replaced a few years ago. MJs customer service was excellent!

I have a large round/triangular asian face and these are the only sunglasses that fit me perfectly. I can scrunch up my face and my cheeks never touch the bottom of the lense. I've tried on so many others including other Maui Jims and these are the only for me...now if they made an HT lense I'd buy that in a heart beat.

I have two pair of MJ's. This is my favorite because of fit. I was recently blown away by the support that was available to me. I accidentally put a big gauge in the lenses. This excellent company had me return them and for a minimal fee replaced both lenses. They did not ask or expect me to simply buy another pair of glasses. WOW!!! But I did anyway, because you can never have to many pair of Maui Jims. In my opinion, MJ's are not only the best sunglasses out there, but the best sunglass company as well.

I had mine for 2 years and had a scratch, sent them in and they replaced the lenses plus the frames at a reasonable price. These are the best glasses for optics there are but the courtesy and professionalism of their Repair Department is amazing. They personally called me and confirmed everything.
