I'd fall asleep in them...
Review by: lost3pairs -
I have been wearing them for 5 years now. I'm on my fourth pair of these amazing shades. Left 1 in taxi in KL; went looking for condo in Toronto, left 1 there. Lost 1 in the surf in Bali. If I could glue them to my head, I would.
They make eye fatigue a thing of the past. Minimalist and no nosense design. They look austere yet as luxurious as they come. Understated Elegance and style. Ever so light - at times, I put them on my head (which you shouldn't do) I often spend time looking for them!
I can run in them or bike the hardly move.
And the customer service folks in Toronto are so nice and professional. I saw an AD in the customer service office and it said something about them being the last pair you'll ever own.
You know what? They are right.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Slick, but fragile
Review by: MassSun -
Nice look, feel and function, but Very Fragile! I was simply putting them on and the lens cracked near the right temple where the arm connects. 2.5 weeks old. We'll see how well they stand behind the product as I'll be returning them for replacement within the next few days under warranty.

Simply the best sunglasses available
Review by: MikeEE -
I have owned the same pair of these sunglasses for over ten years, and recently purchased the second pair today. Nothing beats their clarity, fit, overall quality and durability.

Fantastic Value for the $
Review by: DuckHunter -
I purchased a pair of these at least 7 or 8 years ago (who can remember back that far?) and they have been the greatest investment in glasses I ever made. I used to buy the cheap $20 pairs but went through them so fast that I thought I would take the plunge and make the investment. I am astounded that they could last this long! Yes, I did experience the cracks in the lenses at the screw location but put a tiny drop of super glue on the crack and they never failed. What a fantastic value for the money.

AWESOME
Review by: flyindudette -
I have had these in Rose for years now and I'm still in love. They make colors look sharp and bright, they're amazingly clear and durable. I have smashed them, carted them around in my purse, dropped them on concrete several times, even kicked them and after two years only had one small scratch.
Maui Jim service is also worth the money for the glasses. The bridge snapped on mine the first year I had them and they fixed it for free. Later, the side piece broke off and I sent them in, it was $60 for lens replacement so I went for that as well and what I got back was a BRAND new pair!! They actually just sent me a totally new pair!!
If I had to buy sunglasses again I would buy the same exact ones. I wear them every single day. Since I am a pilot, I love how thin the sides are because they fit under my headset and its not uncomfortable at all. I am more than pleased.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Lens Crack
Review by: Clive -
I have a two pair of Maui Jims, both less than 18 months old, rarely used and VERY carefully looked after (...I have Serengeti's for the car and Oakley's for sport so they are special occasions only).
The first pair (MJ-450-02s) have already had to be returned once as a lens cracked where the arm connects and I recently noticed that my second pair (MJ-502-02) had developed a similar crack and was in the process of packing them up to return for repair when I examined the first pair to discover they have already cracked again !
There is a serious flaw in the design of these glasses. The optics are great and they are wonderfully light...but expect them to break.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Love my Maui Jim's
Review by: Grateful -
After over 20 years of glasses and contacts, I recently had corrective eye surgery. After which one of my top priorities was to find some sun glasses to celebrate my new found vision. I was surprisingly picky in choosing these sun glasses. I tried every different brand; oakley, Rayban, Costa Del Mar, Kaenon and finally Maui Jim's. I actually bought a pair of Costa's and Kaenon's. I wore each for less than three days before I knew they were not the glasses for me. Then I bought a pair of the Maui Jim Kapalua. I have had them for four days now and am in Love. The problem with the other galsses were they were not very comfortable after extended wear. They all hurt my nose and ears. The Maui's on the other hand are exceptionally comfortable. I wore them for four straight hours the second day I had them and could not even tell they were on my face. Comfort as it turns out was my number one requirement. My Kapalua's have given me the eye protection and comfort I needed. I will be a Maui customer for life!
Thanks Maui Jim for a great quality lens and comfortable product.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Excelent optics poor design
Review by: Quan -
My first pair of 502 we replaced due to stress cracks just a few months after I bought them. Maui Jim gave me a new pair under warranty. And after storing the lenses inse it's original case for a couple months, the same thing happended agian. defenetly there is a design problem that causes too much stress on the lens.

Very nice sunglasses indeed
Review by: Crigga -
I have only owned these sunglasses for a day, but already they are my favourite pair. They're just so light, so comfortable and can be worn for any activity or just for leisure purposes. One thing I'm not thrilled about is the case that was supplied with my sunglasses. Although the quality and craftsmanship of the case is top notch, the sunglasses don't fit in them as well as they could. But it's a minor problem I can live with. Other than that they are a superb piece of equipment.
