Broken
Review by: Sandy -
While excellent quality for walking about, they are almost impossible to put on with one hand. While fishing they are also very difficult to store unless you have brought along the large case. They were broken while trying to put them on with one hand!
These are the third pair I've owned and I wanted to try a pair that was lighter than the other two. Having used and broken them, I would buy a different style.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Twisted and distorted
Review by: BenBenBen -
I wanted to like these because I think the design is so simple it's clever but the spring-metal temples simply won't sit straight no matter how I adjust them. The glasses are torqued. I also tried adjusting the bridge piece but it's no use, these things just won't sit straight.
One potential advantage of these is you should be able to smash them fairly flat in your pocket and yet unfold them to wrap around your face -- something you cannot do with a rigid wrap style. They still take more room in a pocket than a pair of rigid flat style glasses like my MJ Beachcombers.
Another problem with these is the polycarbonate lenses. I knew they would be worse than the glass I'm used to but they are noticeably very poor. I tried MJ's new Evolution or Trivex or whatever it is and they were flawed so I can't say they're any better, but they should be.
MJ doesn't polish the edges on the polycarbonate lenses even with rimless designs. Pity such a simple detail is overlooked on rather expensive spectacles.
The nosepads on these are pratical design, very easy to be adjusted many different ways but otherwise rather crude. I suggest examining this detail carefully. I suppose it's owing to the flexibility of the frame.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Great Shades
Review by: ddkfishin -
There are great glasses for a more narrow or smaller faced individual. The optics are superb. These are very comfortable to wear because they are so extremely light. The only frustration I experience with them is they at times feel like they are not even on my face. I think it is because the nose pads can be easily moved. Overall, I would absolutely recommend them.

Best Ive Owned
Review by: vanMan -
I have owned 3 pairs of these and I keep going back to them. I love that I can put them up on a ball hat in doors. I agree that the only complaint I have is they are soo... light that I forget that I have them on. Is that a bad thing? I love the color in them and like that I can read out doors yet they protect when I am driving. They work great when I wear a helmet on my bike too. The glare protection is outstanding.

Great glasses but delicate and lens break after a
Review by: dhgrimes -
These are fantastic glasses but for the price you can do a lot better and have glasses that are much more durable e.g. I have a pair of Serengheti's that is 15 years old and still going strong.
I love the feel and fit of the Mauis but am very disapointed that the lenses are prone to cracking where the nose piece is anchored. For this much money you really expect to get a product that is engineered for longevity and durability. Other that that I am very pleased with the glasses and am sending them off to see how much the repair costs.
If the repari is over 100.00 I doubt I will have them fixed nor will I buy another repair since there are better quality longer lasting designs for 20-50% of the cost of these.
