I purchased the Kula copper glasses in October of 2008. They were new to the line of Maui's at the time and I loved everything about them. My husband and I both have owned several pairs of Maui Jim's over the past 10 years and have recommended them to others, including my 87 year old mother who has Macular Degeneration. They have been a life saver for her and no other glasses can compare!! Back to my Kula's, the glasses developed a crack across the bridge and eventually, the metal piece across the nose fell out. I was able to put this back in but eventually the piece was lost. I am sending these back to the company to hopefully be replaced or repaired. I still love Maui Jim's and will buy more pairs in the future!

NOTHING BETTER FOR DRIVING. IS LIKE LOOKING FROM YOUR HOTEL GLASS WINDOW..... BUT; THE CASE WHERE THEM CAME IS SO WEAK TO PROTECT THEM. ALSO THEY BROKE BEFORE THE YEAR JUST IN THE MIDDLE. YOU MUST HAVE SILK HAND TO CLEAN THEM. ALSO THE PIECE THAT FIT THE NOSE WEAR FAST WITH THE HEAT INSIDE THE CAR. THE BEST LENS EVER BUT SOOOOO WEAK. :-(

I live near Daytona Beach FL. I only buy cheap 10 dollar glasses. My husband wanted a pair of Oakley's so we went to sunglass hut and I fell in love with these. I have never owned ANYTHING this expensive so it took me a few weeks to convince myself to buy them. But I did!! The warranty is AMAZING! not to mention, after the warranty it is reasonably priced to have them fixed. These are life long glasses.
But here is where I am very disapointed. I wear these glasses all the time, and often I need to rest them on my head. (when I go inside buildings and such) But when I need to put them back on, my hair gets caught in the hinges and I can't get it out. So I have to pull my hair out with the glasses. Then take my hair out of the hinges. I am disapointed because you would think a product this expensive would not have such a silly yet annoying problem. Other than that they are AMAZING. Just wish they could fix the hinges. That is why I gave it a 4 out of 5.

I'm a big fan of Maui Jim, having bought six pairs over the past years. The lenses are simply awesome, everything crisp and clear and without glare. The Kula lens is no exception. In fact, it's probably even nicer because it's a shield style. I bought these about 2 years ago, when they just came out. Unfortunately mine developed a small crack right in the middle over the nosepiece. I try to keep them safely stowed in their case, but life is life and sometimes you just have to put them away in a hurry (not easy, because they're so bulky). The other annoying problem is that hair gets caught in the hinges. Ouch. But despite these niggles, they're still my favorite MJ's. These are glasses you should leave on and not fiddle with, so best when you're outside, not going in an out of buildings.

I have really light blue eyes and they are super-sensitve in bright light..indoor and out. In parts of my job I need to work outside in South Florida so I need a full-coverage style. I got the coverage and the great lenses from these glasses. They cover enough to be practical, but they're not too sporty to be feminine. I had, it seems, similar problems that others have had....hair gets stuck in the arms, they are very bulky so they are hard to put away quickly and properly, and my 1st pair cracked right in the center over the nose piece (this happened about a month after I bought them and I was given a brand new pair and a stronger case). I just ordered my 3rd pair as these minimal things are really just a small price to pay for a pair of shades that are "almost" perfect.

Maui Jim always delivers superior sunglasses, and these wrap-style glasses are - no surprise - hands down the best sunglasses I have ever owned. The frame shape provides stellar coverage with no sunlight leaking through the tops or sides of the frames; therefore, I'm never squinting when I wear them. The styling is flattering and elegant (I get a lot of compliments on these glasses). The lenses are amazing, providing crystal clear image and color quality, while the polarization works beautifully, allowing me to easily see fish in water and contours on snowy slopes. All this and the glasses sit very comfortably on my face to boot. I highly recommend these glasses -- they are wonderful!

I must say that these MJ's are really beautiful, trendy and high fashion but most important is the fact that these are great performers! I now have relegated the Coco Chanel glasses to the drawer. these glasses are great for driving and enjoying scenery. They are a little more delicate so they do not go camping, kayaking or any other outdoor sports. My daughter also has a pair of the Kula glasses which she got in Las Vegas. We love these glasses and we do not go without our MJ's anywhere. The quality of this product is wonderful and the customer service is impecable. i have never had any problems when something goes wrong with a hinge, a lost screw or cracked lens. I can't thank everyone at MJ enough for that quality of service either!

I chose these sunglasses... and loved them- except they are larger and tend to accumulated oils from fingers of just barely touching them... Never have dropped them.. but they developed a slight crack above the nose piece in less than 3 mo.... can only be caused from wearing them on my head... REALLY disappointed now!

I received this pair two years ago mothers day and purchased another pair for my own mother last year on mothers day. Spending this mothers day weekend at the beach, I noticed my 1yr old (first time at the beach) appearing a more "pink" shade on her arms. I took my glasses off and could not see the color change!
Am even more in LOVE with these now and so thankful I can be even more proactive then the every 30 min. Recommendation to reapply!! Thank you MJ; one less worry for a mom!!
