Fabulous sunglasses but very fragile

I have had this pair of glasses for just over 6 months and really enjoy them. They're stylish, have amazing MJ lenses and give you great protection (all around the face). However, this model is a one-piece frame and is very fragile. mine started cracking after regular use, driving, beach wear, etc. (which was surprising, given the price range and the usually high quality MJ products). You have to be very careful with this frame - if you're aware of that, you will enjoy the glasses.

Honestly I have had some problems with these glasses. On two occasions they have incurred a stress crack up the center of the lens. When I send them in, Maui Jim always replaces them. Typically I have them back to me good as new within one week. With a backing like that, how can you go wrong?

Durability Fit Value Style I waited 3 years until we had the expendable cash for my Hulas. Being frugal, we went through ebay. Not one week, they snapped in half. I investigated the structural issues. It appears the wire nose piece is perfectly straight while the lens is round. As I tried to bend the nose piece round again it, snapped, meaning it doesn't bend...I DIDN'T squish them! Conclusion...this is a HORRIBLE design! And unless you bought them within a year from a retail establishment and can furnish a receipt for free replacement, then pick a better design.

Durability Fit Value Style I love these sunglasses. They are stylish and provide plenty of coverage. I get many compliments on them. My one complaint is since I have bangs they tend to snag my hair EVERY TIME I take them off. If you have no hair around your face, these are great glasses.

Durability Fit Value Style We were in Hawaii on vacation and my husband was looking for a new pair of Maui Jims at a shop on Kauai that had a huge selection, so I was trying different ones on and put on the Kula and fell in love with the coverage and the fit. I really didn't need another pair of MJ, I already had two, so I waited until I saved up enough and finally purchased the Kulas and I absolutely love them. They are lightweight, offer great coverage and feel great on. Perfect for the bright, blinding sun we have here in Northern California in the summers. I mainly wear them when driving but they are perfect for just about any time. If I had to find a drawback it would only be that they are large and won't fit into a smaller purse or crossbody bag.

Durability Fit Value Style I've had these for 2 years now and treat them like the gold they are, I truly treasure them. They are light weight with perfect clarity thanks to the polarized lenses. They did crack right down the center when they fell on my carpet, and Maui Jim repaired them asap free of charge! Best customer service company I have dealt with by far!
