I have had the Lahaina 450’s for 7 years now and use them every day. Love the minimalist and lightweight design, and while durable, one must be careful with the handling of any frameless eyewear. Any other brand with this style (frameless) would require the same cautious handling. Mine have just now developed a small fracture (1/4 inch long) on one lens at the nosepiece attachment. Isn’t that noticeable yet and doesn’t interfere with the line of sight so I’ll probably wait until it becomes a real nuisance and them send them in for the nominal cost to repair versus getting a brand new pair, especially since they are still stylish. My case, though, is falling apart!

These were my very first expensive pair of sunglasses and I am happy I bought it. I never had any stress issues or cracks with these glasses, even though I have a wide face and they were always out of the case. I had these for 2 years, until I lost them at a rest stop on the I-95, such a shame. I am looking at another pair, but will always remain with Maui Jim as I can't find anything better fitting and better quality. Once you go Maui Jim, you never go back!

Most MJ's are lightweight and therefore tend to be more fragile than other glasses, but because Maui Jim repairs at no or reasonable cost/fast in a very efficient manner, I will always buy this company's products.
Little suggestion to / bring fresh ideas to reinforce the connecting to nose bridge, part of lenses - to resolve cracking complains..
Other - Excellent design ! Very good filtering effects!

These are very light. However, they are very fragile, the bridge that connects the lenses typically cracks the lens. There are seems to be a reflection from the nose piece when the glasses are worn, you can get use to it but at first it is annoying.

I first learned about Maui Jims at a golf expo last year. Liked them as soon as I tried them on. I purchased this model in May and wear them everday. These glasses make colors pop out and appear richer. They are extremely light weight and comfortable. Many of my friends have commented that these glasses look great on me. Simply the best sunglasses I ever owned.

My Rx Maui Jim sunglasses solved my fuzzy summer view problems. And they have stood up to all the summertime abuse. A quick wipe with the special lens cleaning cloth and they're like new again.

I've had the black lens with gunmetal frame for just over 2 years now. A little over a year after getting them there were some stress fractures where the bridge connects to the lens. I sent it in and MJ replaced them for free minus the $10 processing fee. Flash forward one more year and the same thing happens. However, this time I am out of warranty. It was $60 to replace both lenses BUT that does also refresh the warranty for an additional 2 years.

Anyways, the visual clarity of the lenses are great. They work and work well. I must have my MJs with me at all times. I can wear them for hours and not get a headache. My only complaint is how fragile they are. I wear them almost everywhere and care must be taken to pull them straight off the head and not to one side as that is how the stress cracks happen. Even doing this after the first repair still resulted in cracks a year later.

I got a second pair of the sport line of MJs to wear while hiking and running and basically only wear these for driving and walking around. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. Kudos to MJ customer service.

I own two pair of these, one of each color. I prefer the rose lenses for driving under most condtitions since they allow more light in in marginal lighting conditions. The grey lenses are better for brighter conditions. These are extremely comfortable because they are so light and the lense size is large enough to provide good coverage. The only drawback is that they are fragile, I am currently returning my rose pair for lense replacement because the lense cracked where the bridge attaches. I did have these a bit longer than the reviewer who has had the lenses replaced twice but my wife has a newer pair with the same problem developing.

Have had my MJ's for over a year now. Awesome clarity and very comfortable. Just had the lenses replaced under warranty for the one of the lens starting to crack at the bridge connector.
