Great company; great products
Review by: Nanc -
This is my favorite model of the 3 pair of Maui Jims I own. Lahainas are so lightweight that they make great golf glasses. My research assured me that Maui Jim lenses are the best quality made today. Most MJ's are lightweight and therefore tend to be more fragile than other glasses, but because Maui Jim repairs at no or reasonable cost in a very efficient manner, I will always buy this company's products.

5 years and still love them
Review by: unotenor -
I bought these in 2004 specifically to take on a 2 week tour of Italy. They are GREAT!! I recently scratched one of the lenses and need to have repaired/replaced. I wear these everywhere, especially snow skiing.

Love the look of mine however the bottom of the lenses seem to chip easily. I need to send mine in for repair. I wonder how long it will take?

Good
Review by: Brad -
I love my MJ 450's. They are very light and comfortable. Wear them every day. I have had them for over 3 years. Like many of the other reviewers, mine are developing stress fractures where the lenses connect to the bridge. About to send in for repair. This is the only negative to the rimless glasses.

Amazing
Review by: Lyrahe -
Sunglasses are a huge thing especially when you're light sensitive. I thought my Ray Bans were amazing having had them for over four+ years, but trying on Maui's Lahaina sunglasses completely changed my mind. I love the Maui Rose tint and how they look. The best thing though is how well I can see with them. Everything is clear and bright but not blinding or painful. Even my headaches are gone when I wear them. You have another convert, I absolutely adore this company. Keep up the great job!

reflections, distortion
Review by: BenBenBen -
I tried several rimless designs and these were probably the best. The spring metal hingless ones were too fiddly to adjust straight, the Evolution lenses were flawed. These were by far the heaviest rimless glasses I've ever tried. Kapalua and Lahiina were much lighter. The lenses seemed rather thick and MJ does not polish the edges. Whether they polished them or not, these glasses suffer from a bad reflection, whether it enters from the edge of the lens or from behind I don't know. If it wasn't for the reflection I would have kept them even though the optics on the polycarbonate are poor.

fine sunglasses
Review by: PhillyKid -
I have had my MJ 450's for about 3 years, the clarity of the lenses is abolutely amazing and the glare is minimal. They are great for driving and all around use, I wear them almost every day. They are very light and fragile so I always bring the hard case with me. Of course with rimless glasses they will eventually start to show wear. My lenses have started to crack so I figure repair is needed. I called the company and the EXTREMELY friendly and polite rep advised me of the repair procedure. They are gonna replace the lenses for a ridiculously low price compared to what I paid for them. I cannot wait for my repaired glasses to come back. I am having to wear my Bolle's while I wait and I can see why they cost half of what the Jims cost. Jims are the best.
