Fragile design

I am a long time MJ wearer. This particular style is extremely fragile where the lens connects to the nose piece. This model has broken twice while cleaning the lenses. The first time it was taken care of by the company and hopefully this time also. If you buy this model be very careful while cleaning.

Best Sunglasses Ever!

I bought these sunglasses back in the summer of 2007 and just recently broke an arm piece. I called the company and they are able to repair the glass for just a $10 processing fee!
These glasses are so lightweight and comfortable. The nose piece is excellent and the lenses curve to block the sunlight from the side. I use them for everything; including softball, bike riding, wood gathering, and driving.
Before realizing I could get my sunglasses repaired I was in the market for a pair of Oakley sunglasses but after trying multiple pairs on I could not find a pair that met the quality of my Maui Jims. I even considered buying my same pair back, new.(Posted on 11/28/12)

My Makaha

Took the advice in the shop and bought my Makaha 1.5 year ago on our holiday in San Francisco.
Perfect choice! The glasses are weightless, protect the eyes like no other brand and looks are fine!

Durable and Functional

I was skeptical about buying a semiframe pair of sunglasses because I am very rough on them. However, they have been very durable and provide great protection and vision outdoors. The visual clarity and polarization was my initial reason for purchase. If these ever wear out, I will buy another pair.

I have three different Maui Jim glasses these are my go to glasses.
I have a pair for Golf, one for running and one for driving. But these are great for everything.

I own three pair of MJs and this was by far the poorest quality of lenses. I had only owned the glasses for about two months and I had gotten several scratches in the lenses. The other MJs I own I have never had this issue.

I really enjoy my Maui Jim Makaha's. They are very comfortable, in fact at times I forget I have them on. I was also blown away by the service when I lost one of the nose pieces that fit on the bridge and when I called to get a replacement it was "no problem, let us send you out a pair free of charge in the mail today" Wow! Quality and Service....
