I wear prescription glasses and had a pair made with my lenses and I have never had such a great pair of prescription glasses. When I wear them early evening the headlights don't have rings around them. Everything is bright and clear. Just love them.

I just wanted to write a review to let people know how great my experience with Maui Jim has been. I purchased my Makaha sunglasses about 5 years ago, right after I had laser eye surgery. They are so comfortable and really protect my eyes. The best part about my sunglasses however is the exceptional ongoing customer service that I have received. I have worn my sunglasses a lot over the past years and they have been impacted by that wear (last summer they were at concerts, rafting, hiking, kayaking..) - however the team at Maui Jim has been able to address any problems I have ever had with my sunglasses quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Maui Jim to anyone.

I bought a pair of Makaha ( Gloss Black frame with Neutral Grey lenses ) from a Maui Jim authorized dealer ( Sunglasses Hut ) and couldn't believe what I was missing!! The color and clarity are unmatched and their patented polarized lenses cut ALL of the glare that I was experiencing. I am an Asian and have in the past found it very difficult to buy a pair of shades that actually fit my face. They are either too big or too small. The Makaha fits me like a glove and I hardly noticed that I am actually wearing one. The Makaha is feather light and extremely sporty. I could be in the water or just hitting the black top and this pair of sunglasses make my entire view a much more enjoyable experience!! Just like Maui Jim claimed in their advertisement... these exceptional lenses make the color blue bluer and green greener. I have in the past owned a pair of Oakley as well as a pair of Serengeti, but by far, the Makaha by Maui Jim blew them away in terms of color perception, clarity, design, and visual brilliance!!

I have had Maui Jim's for about 4 years now. I recently recieved some scratches on my MJ Sport glasses, I sent them in for repairs and recieved great service from Carson who took care of my repairs. Thanks Carson and Maui Jim. I believe I will continue to purchase Maui Jim products and use their service department.

I have been looking for a good pair of sunglasses for the past month; visited numerous retail outlets and even ordered a pair of Oakley (Asian Fit) sunglasses because they seemed like the answer to my search for sunglasses. Unfortunately they didn't fit very well and I returned them. However, quite by chance, I happened to read one of the reviews on the Maui Jim site for the Makaha sunglasses where the Asian writer seemed quite pleased with how well they fit his face. I stopped by a local retailer and tried a pair on - and wow, what a comfortable fit, great optics and really light weight! These sunglasses fit perfectly and the rubberized nose bridges and ear piece tips keep them on my face even on a long, sweaty run or bike ride...they are so light it's easy to forget they're on your face and the polarized lenses reduce glare really well while preserving excellent colour rendition. Maybe not for everyone but they're exactly what I was looking for!

I have had my Makaha sunglasses for just over a year and I have had to get them repaired 3 times already and am set up for the fourth repair. It seems this design puts too much stress on the lens itself and causes it to crack very very minimal pressure. These lenses are awesome and I wish I did not have this problem but it keeps happening. Yes they are taking care of it but at the cost of me shipping them each time I am up to $40 plus. I am in the process of switching to a different frame due to this constant lens cracking issue.

These are the best sunglasses I've ever owned. They're comfortable, adaptable to many different situations and look great on my face. They're so comfortable that I forget I am wearing them and now have owned two pairs. One last thing, Maui Jim's repair service is brilliant, fast turnaround and they really stand by their product guarantee. You won't go wrong buying a pair of these excellent sunglasses.

As a returning Maui Jim customer, the fit and style of my new Makahas are awesome. I have tried the Nike and Ray Bans and these are far superior to both.

For the longest time I either did not wear sun glasses or bought cheap gas station glasses that never lasted. I've since tried some nice Oakleys and they were definitely very good. But I shelled out for a pair of these and I'll never go back! By far the best optical clarity, contrast, and polarization of anything I've tried. I wear these for everthing; fly fishing, boat fishing, road cycling, running, casual swimming, driving, etc, etc. If you are looking to buy glasses in this price range, do yourself a favor and make them Maui Jims!

I have had a couple different styles of glasses in the past. I have had Revos forever and my last pair were Ray bans. Recently my other glasses fell apart. I count on my glasses. I`m in the car alot for my job and had Revo`s forever, until I tried MJ`S on. They fit like a glove. They were light as a feather very comfortable right from the start you dont even know you have them on, awesome glasses NICE JOB!
