Proprietary MauiGradient Lenses: MauiGradient features a darker coating at the top that gradually gets lighter moving down the lens. So an appropriate amount of light is allowed to filter through certain areas, while less in places where protection is paramount. Style Value Fit Durability This is my third pair of MJ's and as of now they are my favorites. The fit is perfect and the weight while wearing them is almost unnoticeable. Style......they are MAVRICKS after all! I think that MJ must have a pair of glasses for every possible situation. I will wear all three of mine when the need arises, but these Mavricks bring back memories of the good old days for me. When you get older only two things matter, comfort and quality. Maui Jim has cornered the market on both of these and in a very BIG WAY!

Style Value Fit Durability I bought a pair for my wife while in transit in Dubai. Fits good on her small face, very light, and perfect for driving especially in sunny winter days and early spring when there is a lot of reflected sun from snow or puddles - You may consider it as "Approved for Siberia")).
She used to wear Ray Ban of the same shape but this was the only thing in common to compare with Mavericks.
I can't say the price is high for this quality... it's just a bit high by itslef, let's say it's the top price I'd pay for shades. ...however I pay $500 for my Silhouette rimmed eyeglasses)(Posted on 3/11/13)

Fit Durability Style Value After being an Oakley guy for a decade, I was finally convinced to switch to Maui Jim. I only wish I'd done so sooner! The Mavericks are my first pair of Maui Jims and I'm blown away by the quality and style. I've always wanted to try Aviator style frames but have never been satisfied with what's on the market. The Mavericks, however, have completely won me over. The lightweight frames fit my face perfectly, and the gradient lenses (another first for me) are great here in sunny San Diego. I'd recommend the Mavericks to anyone and they are more than worth it!

Fit Durability Style Value The only pair of sunglasses well-fitted and light weight enough to not slide off my face. So comfortable that sometimes I forget I am wearing them. Perfect fit for my smaller face, which is often difficult to find a pair of well fitted sunglasses for.

Durability Fit Value Style The Maverick fits perfectly. Its very lightweight and the gradient lens is perfect for driving. I am a female with a narrow face and this fits me better than any brand of the original Aviator style has ever. Its definitely worth every cent, I wear mine everyday!
