4 years ago I suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. I am now very sensitive to light and my the muscles in my head are very sensitive to touch and muscle stress/strain. These glasses are a life changer. While I would love them to be darker, or even capable of adjusting to light levels, they decrease my migraines because of three design features.

Titanium frames without hinges
Non-slip nose piece
Extremely clear lenses

Being so light means my facial muscles don't adjust to hold them in place.

The lack of hinges mean that I don't have to adjust anything to prevent squeezing my head causing pain and headaches. Spring loaded hinges cause the frames to squeeze my head muscles. Since I don't adjust anything and these are so consistent in returning to shape, I don't need to make adjustments that inevitably contort my lenses which skew my already hard to control vision causing my vertigo to flare up or confusion and mental strain.

The non-slip nose piece keeps my glasses right where they belong without my head/face muscles straining to keep them in place. I don't have clean them when I'm hot or sweaty so I can focus on keeping safe with the world moving around me.

With all the difficulties and struggles I already have trying to live with the long term impacts of a severe TBI, the glasses seriously changed my life for the better. While they are the most expensive glasses I have ever purchased, I would buy them again. I strongly recommend these to anyone that is looking for a light weight form fitting pair of sunglasses that stay in place without strain.

For anybody that wonders how much physical/muscular work could possibly be needed to wear glasses, all I can say is that you'd be surprised if your face and head muscles were as sensitive as mine. Maui Jim made an excellent product. I'd be happy to buy another pair with a different color that I could use inside or at work to help with the white lighting.

For anyone struggling with a TBI, these are perfect for you. These should be provide to every severe TBI sufferer with a bleak long term success prognosis. It took me 4 years to find them and wish I found them sooner.

Put them on and forget they're there. You don't have to keep pushing them up; they are so lightweight they basically settle into your head and become part of you. Great for sailing or hiking. And they look good on me and my girlfriend both--which is definitely a first for sunglasses (or anything else, for that matter). I don't think anybody would do badly with a pair of these.

4th pair of titanium MJ's for me in the last 12 years, two lost or stolen, and one damaged (which MJ helped when I got them to replace the lenses on). I have never found anything as light, comfortable, and good looking as MJs, and each new model I like as much if not more than the previous. I'd like to pay less, but, they're worth paying more for! Hopefully, I'll get a few years before losing these ones.

bought these after I purchased a similar pair of MJ's and discovered that the wire nose bridge and lens attach points in general were "breaking points"---so i returned and bought NAKALELE! This decision I have no regrets at all about! great clarity and protection.
THE MAIN REASON I chose this style was the improved lens and nose bridge attach design.The glasses have a very "beefed up"design and not the flimsy wire attach points that can break.

Its my first pair, i have ever purchased from Maui, and when i went to shop, it was the only one who caught my attention - a perfect fit on the head, Calm and yeah yet to experience about its other characteristics - and Got a sports version too, haven't tried yet - but that looks great too.

I'm on my fourth pair of these in the past twelve years. One pair I crushed underfoot when they fell from my car in the pitch dark, and one pair ended up getting cracked when the canvas clam-shell case they came with got crushed with my luggage on a flight in Africa. The first pair eventually cracked when I fell asleep with them on and rolled over. For comfort, a superb lens, and the lightest weight sunglasses you'll ever wear--as well as a superb fit for any size of head or face, you won't find anything better. The instant my flight landed, I was in a Maui Jim distributor's shop on the airport concourse--and snapped up another pair. The clam shell cases could be better made, as they fall apart while the sunglasses themselves endure. Flatter just about any face shape, too.

If you love Maui Jim's these are the best. I just upgraded from my mj sports and am in love. It's a windy day on Maui right now and these are perfect for all weather conditions. I'm getting used to putting them around my neck when I have to take them off. Lightweight comfortable stylish!

The style, fit and protection/coverage is amazing on this particular model. This model fits narrow shaped head sizes better than the other two. They are so light, yet fit comfortably and stay on even with strong wind. The make is stylish and classy, not too sporty, and suitable for all occasions.
