I throw my glasses in my purse and they have never scratched. I can wear them in bright or dim light and I can see well. I like the size. They keep the sun from coming in over the top and sides. They are very durable. I still have a similar pair I have had for 15 years and only one small scratch. They also cut glare better than any sunglasses. I would not buy any other brand.

Wow Maui Jims have impressed me for the 2nd time. Excellent customer service. I received my $250 Maui Jims as a corporate gift, about a year later I cracked the lens. I decided it was worth the $75 to replace the lens, when Maui Jim didn't return them as quickly as they had guaranteed they sent them back repaired, with no charge. I didn't even complain it was late, they just did it. This time my puppy not only chewed my case but got ahold of my sun glasses and ruined the earpiece (called the temples). I cried, because I thought they were ruined. Then I remembered their customer service. I called them and they charged me nothing for the replacement but $14 for expedited handling and postage. Really? Is that all? Not only did they return them within a week of me shipping them off but they replaced the case. This is totally worth the $250 paid for the sun glasses. Next time I go to buy it will be with Maui Jims and I won't worry about the price! I have been telling all of my friends about my experience and encouraging people to not only buy for the incredible sunglasses but also for the best customer service!

I have to admit, the thought of spending over $200 made me twitch. My whole life (ok, I'm 55) I've worn dollar store sunglasses, never even tried a pair of more expensive ones. I figured they're all crap, last a month or two, get scratched, and then toss them away. That is, IF they last that long. I'd just bought a $10 pair of plastic sunglasses, which is more than I usually spend. They scratched so badly when I first wiped them to wear them that they were unusable. I tossed those suckers right into the trash. The same day I went to my optometrist for my annual exam and he informed me I was developing a cataract in my left eye. He asked me if I wore sunglasses, and then said I should wear them all the time and to buy good ones that didn't make me squint even when I was wearing them. My years of not wearing any and also not buying good ones was a major contributing factor.
My boyfriend insisted, nay, DEMANDED that I buy good sunglasses, and dragged me over to a sunglasses store. The salesman handed me a pair of Maui Jim Palms to try on. When I looked outside into the glaring sun I was amazed at how the glare was gone and that I didn't squint at all. I just about freaked when I saw the price so I decided to "shop around". After spending hours looking at other brands at other stores, nothing compared to the quality of the Palms. I bit the bullet and bought them and it was the best decision I could have made for my eyes. I no longer squint and no longer have headaches after a few hours of driving. The glass lenses are much more scratch resistant than any acrylic lens. Yes, you do need good discipline and take care of them properly, but the salesman showed me how. They come with a very sturdy case and a fabric bag to protect them, too. That's something none of the cheap sunglasses come with, and floating around in my car, or crammed into the sunglasses holder the car came with was a major reason why they were always getting scratched. The salesman also showed me how and with what to clean them with so as to maximize the life of them. In all, this is a pair of glasses that will help me avoid cataract surgery for as long as possible.

I'm picky with my shades and these are the only ones that lived up to my standards. I wear them daily and have dropped them repeatedly with only one minor scratch to the frame. Very durable. Once you go polarized, you don't go back. I love these glasses so much, I'm ready to get another pair as my just in case pair.

When my persol's broke after years of wear I headed out to get a new pair but hated the new Persol styles so the salesperson convinced me to try on Maui Jims. I always wondered what the big deal was and now I know, the clarity is amazing and somewhat unbelievable. The lenses make everything so clear. I was going to buy Rainbow Falls but after trying on Palms bought them instead since they fit way better and even though they don't look particularly feminine the really are pretty cute and the fit is perfect. I now own them in Black and Brown along with several other Mj styles. Palms offers the best in sun protection buy them you won't be sorry.

Lost my last pair and had to replace them with the same style because they have been the best pair of glasses I've ever owned and I don't wear cheap sunglasses. They provide great coverage and are oh so stylish. If they look good on your face, you will love them! Only draw back is the $220 price tag.

I was looking for a nice style and tried the very expensive designer brands on, but they did not compare with Maui Jim's for sun protection. I went to the Maui Jim display and WOW, what a difference. Who wants to spend $300-$400 dollars and still be squinting? Not me. I bought the Palms in Chocolate and love them. Fit and style are great; the sun protection is superb.

I love these! I wear them all the time. They are great glasses for an active lifestyle. Have had this style for a little over 3 years. Recently, I sent my glasses to have the lenses replaced. The Maui Jim customer service department couldn't have been any better. The total repair time was less than one week. They do charge for replacement lenses, but it is worth every penny! Love Maui Jim!!!

I bought my first pair of Maui Jim's (Lagoon in Black) about 3-4 years ago & instantly fell in love. I used to think people were crazy for spending so much on a pair of sunglasses but now I know why they do! I used to go through 2-3 pairs of sunglasses a year because I would scratch the lenses or couldn't get them clear enough. That is not the case with Maui Jim's! Just use a mild detergent, warm water & a soft cloth occassionally & you're good to go!

I decided I wanted a pair of brown shades to alternate with my black Lagoons & must confess, I did look at another brand because the shades were super cute. I put them on & when I saw the clarity of the competitor's lenses, I instantly took them off. I knew I had to get another pair of Maui Jim's! They are by far the best quality I've owned or even tried on. I'll admit, I didn't like the Palms sunglasses online but they look great on! I bought them in Chocolate & couldn't be happier!

I have recommended Maui Jim's to my friends & family.My Mom actually has a couple of pairs now (she just purchased the black/blue Punchbowl sunglasses last night).

Overall, Maui Jim sunglasses are the best! Great sunglasses & awesome customer service. Mahalo Maui Jim & keep up the good work!!! :)
