Just bought these yesterday to replace a metal wireless pair of MJ's that got stolen. I'm asian with a larger face, however, the smaller Sandy Beach model fit well without touching my cheeks or squeezing the sides of my head. I also tried on the Ho'okipa style which is quite a bit larger. It provided more coverage on the side, but the larger lenses rested on my cheeks. The frame at the top does rest on my brow, but offers excellent glare protection from direct sunlight above. Definitely try on different pairs for the best fit.

These are the perfect pair of sunglasses. So light in weight, you don't even feel them on your face. They are polarized and cut right through the glare. AND if you are active and want to wear these while playing sports, they won't bounce off your face or slide off your nose when you sweat. The legs grip the sides of your head to hold them in place and yet they are COMFORTABLE. I'm in love!

I purchased this pair of sunglasses 3 1/2 years ago after having owned a pair of metal framed Maui Jims. The polarized lenses were exceptional when fishing. The reflection of the sun on the water is bright but never a problem with these lenses. When I tried this pair on, the light weight was the first seller. The optics are crisp and clear and most importantly, I do not squint in sunlight while driving or any outdoor activity. The frames stay positioned well. If I had one complaint it would be a minimal one and that is that the frames across the top of the lenses allows dirt to get between the frame and lens and it's a tad difficult to clean. Nothing a little water pressure and proper cleaning cloth can't fix.

I have owned this pair of sunglasses for over 2 years now & I absolutely love them. They are sporty & stay on my face no matter what activities I am doing outside. They are extremely lightweight & comfy to wear, I hardly notice that I am wearing them. I have the black pair with the grey lenses & they block out the light very well. I have a smaller size face & this was the only style that fit very comfortably. I am very happy with my purchase, they are still in great shape even after all the wear they have had, I love them. My Mom also has the same pair, they are a great pair of sunglasses. I love that they are polarized too.

I bought myself Maui Jim Sandy Beach sunglasses as a graduation gift 6 years ago! The glasses never left my face, until one night when my new puppy found them :( I am now desperately trying to find another pair of Sandy Beach sunglasses in Queensland as all other glasses I have tried just make the world seem dull.

I recently had cateract surgery and had my lens replaced. I noticed that my eyes were very light sensitive playing golf and driving. I also needed a smaller frame to fit my face. these glasses are awesome. they protect me from the glare and I can see without distoration. they fit great and I can't even tell I am wearing them. You won't be disappointed with these!!

My wife has a small face and she really likes this pair of sunglasses. Unfortunately, the frame snapped at the nose where it connects to the lens. This is not the result of overly rough treatment, but just everyday handling. The glasses lasted maybe two years, which I think is not long enough considering the cost. I think metal frames are more durable than the nylon frames and this is what I recommend for folks who want better durability. The nose pads fell off a long time ago because they are not attached to the frames very well. I do not recommend these sunglasses.

I own 2 pair of Maui's and I LOVE them. My Maui Sandy Beach 408 have more than exceeded my expectations. They were the first pair of Maui's that I bought. I have had them for more than 6 years. A friend recommended them to me and I have not had any problems with them. They still look brand new! No scratches on the lenses and frames look great. I experience migranes and I bought these when I took a job where I was driving a lot. The sun's glare can bring these on, but my Maui's really helped with that. They have been wonderful and well worth the money!!

I purchased my first pair of MJ's in 2003. They have been the best sunglasses and worth every penny. This year, after wearing them almost every day since then, the lens on one side started to separate from the frame. I knew that I wanted a black pair of the Sandy Beach style eventually (my old pair were brown Sandy Beach), so a few days ago I bought them. This style is so lightweight that I sometimes forget they are on my face. No ruts along the side of the bridge of my nose. The look is classy, yet casual. I can't say enough about these sunglasses.

I had my Sandy Beach Maui Jims for around 3 years. I never thought I would ever spend over $100 on Maui Jims until they were given to me by the company I worked for (I used to sell Maui Jims at a retail store). 6 Months ago my glasses were destroyed and I have been going through withdrawl ever since. These sunglasses are by far the best sunglasses there are. I had them for years and never had one problem with them! They were perfect for any weather. I highly recommend these glasses to anyone for any purpose!
