Frames!?
Review by: mrsunglasses21 -
I have several different pairs of all types of sun glasses and I have found the the Stingrays to be the Worst!!! The lettering on the arms rubs off (might as well have bought knock off's) and they don't hang on your head when you wear them up. As for the lens, I have found Maui Jim's to be the best out of all glasses I own. Love em!

Best Sunglasses I have ever had
Review by: Littledoc007 -
I bought these about two years ago specifically for boating and fishing. They take the reflection off the water better than any other pair of sunglasses I have ever had. The wrap aorund your eyes so you do not get any reflection from the side. Anyone who spends alot of time on the water should have a pair of these.
The only recommendation I wish the company would do is to include a eyewear strap so they do not accidently fall off and go overboard or hit the ground. These are not cheap to replace, but worth ever penny.(Posted on 11/28/12)

No More Searching - They're "The Best"
Review by: Celli -
When I tried Maui Jims on in the store, I thought they were a good pair of glasses. It wasn't until I experienced them outside, that I realized I could stop searching for what I thought was impossible - An unbelievably GREAT pair of sunglasses!! REAL, true-to-life color, with glare protection that is fantastic especially glare from behind ("bounce back glare"). After 3 years, I still catch myself checking out the true-to-life color and glare protection. I could go on and on touting these sunglasses - no kidding - but I will simply say, they are, hands-down, the best pair of glasses I have EVER owned! Shortly after buying my pair, I had a friend try them on to experience the true-to life color and glare protection - next thing I knew, he bought a pair! Not only can I say I will buy nothing but Maui Jims from now on, I can prove it. When I broke mine receently (and I was very sad), I went back to the store to buy another pair! Come to find out, you repair them too! What more can you ask for? I'll answer that.....Nothing! Hands-down......

The best sunglasses I have ever bought. I am now a MJ fan and would like to get another pair.
I give MJ stingray 4 stars due to the fact the frame is slightly heavy.
Did anyone notice that the item was made in Italy??? atleast that 's what written on mine(Posted on 11/28/12)

Protection
Review by: Handyman -
MJ stingray sunglasses are awesome. Vivid clarity. I want to wear these glasses all the time I see better with them on, then off. These wrap-around glasses block all the natural light from getting to my eyes. I have light colored eyes and they are very sensitive to light. MJ Stingrays keep me from squinting my eyes while wearing them. The only downfall is that they create a blind spot in my periphial vision. That will take time to get used to since I'm used to thin wire frames. I work in construction and the polycarbonate material will protect my eyes just as pair of safety glasses would. The anit-relfection coating on the inside of the lens stops all the glare which is great when I put my back to the sun or if I'm working around other materials or objects that reflect the sun. I only have one pair of eyes and I can't replace them; so, Thanks Maui Jim!

Best Sunglasses
Review by: Eyesis -
I lived in Miami for 20 years. The glare on the water is very strong--and my nyc raybans were totally ineffective. A US Coastguard captain recommended Maui Jims to me. When i first wore them boating, I was amazed--I could see the fish quite clearly below the surface of the water. Wearing them in everyday situations, I quickly became aware of how they lessened eye fatigue. I was never without them....until I moved to Mississippi and lost my MJs. Then I didn't feel I could afford to replace them. So for 5 years I wore cheap polarized sunglasses. Ugh. Recently, my eye Dr. reminded me that macular degeneration runs in my family, and that I needed to be especially careful to keep direct sunlight out of my eyes. The eye Dr. carries MJ--I was so pleasantly surprised. My insurance paid a percentage. I bought a pair of the Stingrays--similar to the ones I had years ago. Once again I am amazed at the comfort of my eyes, and how beautiful and crisp the world is, through MJ lenses. The style is great too, I have a small face and most other sunglasses make me look like a bug.
Anyway, I learned my lesson, and I remind you too--the comfort and protection of your eyes and precious eyesight should always be a priority.(Posted on 11/28/12)

Best Ever!!!
Review by: WeaselLoader -
Can't ever remember feeling compelled to write a review about something as simple as sunglasses. Having just had LASIK, I was eager to finally get a good pair of sunglasses. Looked at Oakley, Smith, Ray-Ban and Native. Sales person showed me the Maui Jims and I immediately felt the better quality on these compared to the others. You do get what you pay for and I think these are worth it compared to some of the prescription glasses I wore for almost 30 years. The only thing different I would have considered is the Reader Maui Jims since my near vision is not perfect now. Also might consider a lighter tint for winter/overcast driving.

I will miss them!!!
Review by: CryinginNH -
These were my first pair of MJ's ever and I will miss them...my 1 yr old English Golden (fond of chewing plastic) found them on the kitchen counter and called them "snack"...these were the perfect sunglasses for driving in my 23 year old convertible! Being a contact lense wearer, the lenses were dark enough that I never felt blinded by the light, no breeze dried my eyes, and the fit...perfect! Would recommend them to everyone who enjoys driving or spending time at the beach. When I am done paying for braces, I hope they will still be available...
