Loved these glasses for more than 12 years. Just broke another pair to find out they have retired the Sunset Tortoise Rose glasses. Please bring back by popular demand. If it ain't broken don't fix it... I wish mine didn't! I don't want black or any other style just my favorite pair back.

Wishin' I hadn't lost my pair of bronze 402s on a charity bike ride and had replaced them right away. Now, no more bronze. Bummer! Lenses cracked at the outside screws, but hubby put super glue on them to stop the run. Getting hubby a new pair to replace 10 yr old pair because he likes the gray. Will replace mine with bronze 409s.
Wishin' I hadn't lost my cat-eye MJs with the bronze metal hinges. First pair of MJs were present to self after Lasik. Used to get lot of complements. They don't make those anymore either. Still looking at other styles for replacement of those for daily wear. Whoever found them in Steamboat, enjoy!

I am on my 3rd pair of Sunset's. I replace them after a couple of years of everyday use and keep a spare in my center console. I use them for outdoor activites and casual wearing. They are very comfortable wearing all day from fishing in the flats of the Gulf coast, hunting in the mountains of New Mexico and just daily wear. I have a couple of pairs of Costa's, but they dont seem to fit as comfortable as these do for all day use.

These are amazing sunglasses. I've taken them all over the world and exposed them to multiple sports (biking, windsurfing, xcountry skiing, golfing, horseback riding, jetski, running). They hold up incredibly well, then look great when I am being social. They are lightweight, but sturdy. My eyes are very sensitive to sunlight and I can where my MJs in the brightest sunlight. As soon as these where out, if ever, I'm getting myself a new pair the next day.

The actual shade part of these sunglasses is excellent. However, the problem is with the nose pieces. I've had to have them repaired about every year and a half because the studs don't go far enough into the rubber nose pieces. So, with average use, they will get loose and either pop off or get lost.

I will say that Maui Jim is quite responsible with their repairs and I appreciate that, but I'd recommend staying away from this type of nose piece.

They are light and comfortable, but it just seems to be a design issue. I've had these for about 6 years now and this will be the 3rd or 4th time I've sent them in for repair.

Have been flyfishing in saltwater for over 40 years and have tried all the better-known brands of sunglasses. By a long shot, none come close to my Maui Jims for protection and quality of the optics

These are the best sunglasses I've ever owned!

If you've never owned a pair of Maui Jims before, you will know you've arrived once you look through the lenses and realize that on a super-bright, sunny day everything will look crystal-clear and sharp with deep, saturated colors.

They are comfortable and lightweight, never pinching on my temples. They are well-balanced, too. Any time they have fallen, they've landed on the frame, not the lenses, sparing me from aggravation.

They are definitely worth getting repaired; you won't find a finer pair of sunglasses.

I have owned Maui Jims for several years and I love these glasses. However, I have had to send them for a fixing, and am now having to send them in again. I live in Illinois and the change in temperature seems to cause cracks in the temple of the lens areas. Last time both lenses cracked and now just the left lens. I will send them in again with a request as to why this happens with this particular style.
