Repairs

We know you love your Maui Jims. That's why we're committed to timely, quality repairs. Whether your sunglasses require a quick fix or a major overhaul, our repair centers offer fast turnaround, low-cost repairs and warranty service.

To expedite your repair:

  1. Print and include the return form found on the repairs page with your sunglasses.
  2. Include proof of purchase. If you can't locate yours, please note where and when you purchased your sunglasses.
  3. Tell us your story. Please add a note describing how your sunglasses broke.
  4. Provide your contact information: name, address, phone number, and an email address in case we need to reach you.
  5. Send your sunglasses securely packaged, from a carrier such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS (registered and insured) that allows shipment tracking. Maui Jim is not responsible for lost or damaged items in transit.
  6. PRESCRIPTION SUNGLASSES: Sunglasses with damaged prescription lenses should be returned to their place of purchase. Rx lenses cannot be replaced or remade through Maui Jim directly. However, if your prescription sunglass frames require repair, simply follow the instructions above and clearly mark "Rx REPAIR" on the outside of your package.

Warranty/Product Registration

Maui Jim sunglasses are warranted to the original purchaser for two years from the date of purchase against any defect in materials and workmanship. Maui Jim will repair or replace, at our option, any pair of Maui Jim sunglasses found to be defective - exclusive of damage caused by improper or unreasonable use.

This warranty does not apply to normal wear, including lens scratching or accidental breakage, and does not cover shipping cost. There may be additional charges if your repair is not covered by Maui Jim's warranty. The repair will generally be completed within five days and returned to the owner via US Priority Mail.

Sunglasses returned during the warranty period MUST be accompanied by the following:

  • Original proof of purchase. Include a dated copy of the original sales receipt with your return.
  • A brief note indicating how your sunglasses were damaged.
  • Your contact information: name, address, phone number, and an email address in case we need to reach you.
  • Return your sunglasses to the proper address.
  • Shipping paid: to calculate shipping charges, please refer to our Warranty. We do not accept returns COD.

Returns and Exchanges (when purchased from Maui Jim, Inc.)

Our goal is 100% satisfaction for every Maui Jim sunglass wearer. If you're anything less than happy with your purchase from mauijim.com, you may return it for credit or exchange within 30 days of purchase.

To return a mauijim.com purchase:

  • Complete the return form on the front of your invoice, indicating the items you are returning. Be sure to note the quantity, whether you prefer a refund of an exchange, and the reason for your return.
  • Specify the items you would like in exchange.
  • Package your items in the original box or a sturdy container.
  • All items returned must be in new or resalable condition to receive full credit.
  • Affix the prepaid UPS return shipping label provided and mail.

Note: if the original purchase was paid by credit card, you will be credited for the returned items and taxes (excluding delivery) upon receipt of your package. Your credit card will be charged for the replacement item(s) when shipped. Please allow up to two billing cycles for your credit to appear on your monthly statement. If your item is backordered, we will contact you.

Gift Returns

If you received your merchandise as a gift, it may be sent back for exchange only. Again, please complete both sections of the return form on the front of your invoice indicating what item you are returning and what you would like in exchange.

IMPORTANT: Please provide your credit card information. Your card will be charged for shipping as well as the cost of the replacement if the replacement is higher then the cost of the original purchase. If the replacement item is less than the original, the difference will be refunded to the original purchaser. Please provide your contact information - should the item be on backorder, we would like to notify you.

Gift Card Return

If you are returning an item, and used a Maui Jim gift card to pay for all or part of an item your are returning, that part of your refund will be credited back to a Gift Card. VIP card returns - you will be refunded the discounted purchase price. 100% VIP cards are exchange only.

Security Policy

Safety and security - two things we never skimp on at maujim.com. We utilize the industry's state-of-the-art security measures, including Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect your credit card information. SSL encrypts your order information to block the decoding of that data by anyone other than mauijim.com.

To ensure you're accessing our secure server before you submit your credit card information, please look for either an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), then SSL is active. To double-check security, check the URL in your browser. If you have accessed a secure browser, the first characters of the address will change from "http" to "https". Some browser versions and some firewalls do not permit communication through secure servers like the ones we use to process orders at mauijim.com. If for any reason you cannot access the secure server, please place your order with us by phone at 1.888.666.5905

For your protection, we also utilize Verisign.

Please also be assured of the caution we use regarding the personal information you provide at checkout. This information is used to process your order and email you a confirmation of your purchase and shipping information. We will not share your information with other sources, although we may analyze it internally in order to improve our service to you, to track trends at our web site and to share news with you that you may want as part of our Maui Jim 'Ohana.

Promotional Codes and Gift Cards

At mauijim.com, we occasionally make special offers. When we do, we provide you directly with a one-time promotional code that can be used toward your mauijim.com purchase. If you have trouble entering your promotional code during checkout, please double-check the code and try again. If still unsuccessful, contact one of our customer service associates.

Gift Card Redemption

Except where prohibited by law, Gift Cards may be redeemed for all Maui Jim merchandise. VIP cards may be redeemed for Maui Jim Sunglasses only. Both cards are redeemable at www.mauijim.com and not at retail locations. Gift Cards/VIP cards are not redeemable for cash, barter, or previouse purchases.

Payment

You may suppliment your Gift Card balance with credit card payment. Apply up to five gift cards to a single transaction. VIP cards - Your discount will be applied to the highest priced sunglass. Balances can be paid for by credit card.

Lost, Stolen, or Damaged cards

Maui Jim is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards or any unauthorized card use. They may be replaced at Maui Jim's election. For Gift Cards, replacement may be made only with the card purchase receipt and serial number, and then only for the cards remaining balance.

Gift Card Return

If you are returning an item, and used a Maui Jim Gift Card to pay of all or part of an item you are returning, that part of your refund will be credited back to a Gift Card which will be issued to you by Maui Jim. VIP cards - you will only be refunded the amount paid. 100% VIP cards are exchange only.

Available only when checking out between Thursday after 2:00pm and Friday 2:00pm CST.

Sorry, delivery to APO/FPO and PO Boxes is not available at this time.

Free Shipping Details:
Free Ground shipping is available for all website sunglass orders over $100 in the Continental United States, except orders placed using a VIP card.
Return shipping is also on us, so don't worry about the cost of return postage if your sunglasses don't work.
Free shipping only applies to your initial sunglass order and will not be applied to returns or exchanges of your original purchase.
Not applicable on any purchases prior to February 3rd, 2009.
The cost of the free ground shipping ($10) can not be used as a credit towards Next Day shipping or 2 Day.
Repair shipping costs are outlined within the repair section of the website.
