Wie bei jedem hochwertigen Produkt können Sie durch die richtige Pflege die Brauchbarkeit Ihrer Sonnenbrille verbessern und verlängern und Ihre Investition schützen. Ihre Sonnenbrille ist auf der Rückfläche entspiegelt. Dies ist wichtig für die Verhinderung von Blendung und zählt zu den drei Elementen, die unser patentiertes Design ausmachen.
Für eine optimale Leistung spülen Sie Ihre Sonnenbrille täglich mit warmem Wasser ab. Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen der Glasoberfläche ggf. ein mildes Spülmittel. Trocknen Sie die Gläser mit einem sauberen, weichen, saugfähigen Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine Papiertücher zum Reinigen der Gläser. Vermeiden Sie Scheuermittel, Seifen oder Reinigungsmittel, die Rückstände auf den Gläsern hinterlassen könnten. Verwenden Sie keinesfalls Tücher, die mit Lotion, Lanolin, Silikon oder anderen Reinigungsmitteln getränkt wurden, da solche Tücher einen Film auf den Gläsern hinterlassen.
The multiple coatings on your lenses are resistant to light scratching, however heavy, abusive scratching can break through the coatings and cause visible marks. Significantly help prolong the life of your lenses by removing dirt and other particles with good cleaning practices and keep your sunglasses in their case while not in use. Good cleaning practices will also help minimize scratching.
To reduce the chances of dropping your sunglasses on surfaces that may scratch your lenses, you might consider investing in a pair of sunglass retainer cords to keep them secure while wearing them.
Clean cloths are a great way to keep your sunglasses clean and smudge free. We recommend you frequently launder your clean cloth to keep if free of debris, dirt and oils that could damage your lenses. Wash in warm soapy water. Do not use fabric softener as this may leave a film on your lenses.
All new sunglasses purchased from Maui Jim include one clean cloth bag and a protective case, but if either of yours are lost or damaged, you can purchase replacements here.
Excessive heat may deteriorate your lenses or misshape your nylon frame. Avoid placing your sunglasses where you might expect excessive heat, for example, on the dashboard of your car.
"Hard" water contains high levels of dissolved minerals, especially calcium and magnesium. It is "softened" by the addition of sodium during the filtering process. Everyday examples include pool water and unfiltered water, such as sprinkler water. "Hard" water can be a nuisance to sunglass wearers, as it leaves white spots on lenses after drying. To avoid spotting, simply rinse any sunglass or eyeglass with filtered (tap) water, and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Certain common household chemicals will react negatively with the frame material and the metal oxides used on the coatings of your lenses. Avoid contact with acetone (nail polish remover), caustic solutions (such as glass or other ammonia based cleaners), hair sprays containing methylene (listed on label), chlorine (from swimming pools or unfiltered water) or glue.
All Maui Jim sunglasses are saltwater safe and corrosion resistant. As with "hard" water, we suggest you rinse off any sunglass with filtered (tap) water, and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
We recommend that you visit your local sunglass retailer periodically to have them tighten the eye wire screws, attached temples and nose bridge.
